Somehow, this is the first I'm hearing of this. I apologize if its already been posted here and I missed it. More players step forward in Hockey Canada investigation | The Star Hopefully all 8 are held accountable. Mike McLeod was on that team. Cale Makar and Carter Hart too. Hopefully they were not apart of it. So this is the same scandal that came up a couple months ago due to the civil suit. Where it’s getting really REALLY weird is how the lawyers are saying Hockey Canada essentially settled the suit without telling the players there was an assault filed (if I even said they correctly.) Rick Westhead and Katie Strang are both on top of this, coverage wise. EDIT: Here’s what I’m referring to. I can’t imagine that. It would kind of defeat the purpose of trading Tkachuk to rebuild in the first place. It needs to be picks, prospects and a good NHL roster guy that’s young and relatively inexpensive. I just looked at the Blues’ roster and granted I am not familiar with their AHL team (aside from Hofer who is a decent goalie prospect), but I don’t really see the solid young Bratt-like roster player they could (or would) include. Hoping McLeod isn't involved but if he is then he deserves punishment commensurate to whatever actually occurred. There is a lot of he said she said in the media atm, limited specifics, the fact police didn't end up pressing charges, and so more details are needed to know consequence.
