You’re correct to be iffy on his statement, it definitely seems intentionally vague, especially after having written about group sex encounters in his book. But given the incident that’s been described, “you know I’m an alcoholic and I can’t remember” when you wrote a book and described similar sexual encounters that you obviously do remember (which he believes were consensual, I assume, or he wouldn’t have written about them), is not the best look. If he were accused, the prosecutor would have a field day reading quotes from the book and challenging him on the whole alcoholism/lack of memory thing. SterioDesign Posted July 24, 2022 Share Posted July 24, 2022 This case is slightly different than the 2018 one from what i could gather. the 2003 one.. there's a video of about half a dozen taking turns banging a girl that appeared to be unresponsive (so basically non-consensual) and the 2018 one a girl got banged by a bunch of dudes and is recorded on video saying she was totally fine with it, totally sober, saying it was consensual and enjoying herself. But the next day saying she was hammered and felt threatened or wtv. One is a clear black and white no-no and the other one well it's a... well who do you believe? hopefully the investigations will shine a light on all this. I'm choosing to use presumption of innocence as a safe route when things are still under investigations since it's a basic legal principle that every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty and at the moment there's conflicting reports at the moment. She's straight up on video claiming she's totally fine with it and that the guys are paranoid. Then she wasn't okay with it the next day or later that night. We don't know the exact timeline. Was that video taken earlier in the evening and the incident happened later that night? We don't fvcking know. There's a reason it's still under investigation. Plus It doesn't matter what I or you think happened. What's important is what actually happened and hopefully the investigation will shine a light on that and if it was indeed rape i hope those guys all the pay the price for it. Obviously. So you guys can go around claiming you know what happened and feel good about your "blindly believe all victims" and ignore that false claims also does happen and there's victims of that too.
