Prospects Thread- 2021-21

Gritsuyk wasted little time getting back to it after his good showing at the channel one cup. He scored the overtime winner for Avangard as the won 3-2.

HIs excellent season continues. Someone did a comparison of his ppg against some other notable NHL players.

That is not bad company to keep. Although there is a long way to go.

These infographics are always interesting. Seems a bit unfair to do a comparison to Panarin. You can see at the bottom they have slightly different player comparisons

As much as I'd love to see him come over to the NHL, maybe it's better to wait until we get coaching staff that'll help him progress, not regress.

Haven't been able to keep up with much due to all the stuff going on at home.

This thread might as well be renamed the Gritsyuk tracker, because the guy is money on every game.

Another goal as Avangard beat Dynamo Riga 4-3.

Yegor Zaitsev got an assist keeping the puck in the zone on this play.

HIs first point in a while.

Chase Stillman got an assist in Sudbury's first game back after and extended break. Sudbury have really slowed down after their good start.

His statline for the season:

GP: 20 G: 9 A: 8 P: 17 +/-: -8

His PPG last season was 0.59 and he is currently at 0.85 so he has really kicked on this year.

Patrick Moynihan had a good game for Providence a few days ago. 4 point night with a goal and 3 assists.

Goal was an empty netter so no highlights.

Statline for the season

GP: 23 G: 8 A: 10 P: 18 +/-: -1

Slightly behind his PPG for this year, and the 4 point game really helped get him back on track.

Been looking up some of the prospects that haven't been on the scoresheet to see how they are getting on. This was the most recent commentary on Zakhar Bardakov I could find.

Sounds like he would be the perfect fit in this team.

Mukhamadullin hasn't appeared for Ufa since the WJC. Presuming he is isolating.

Daniil Misyul has played  nearly every game for Lokomotive this year. He is not a points getter but he hits, he third on the team with 52.   He has a 0+/- over 41 games. He only had 27 shots across those games this year. He is playing 3rd pair minutes with an average ice time of 13.32 a game. Which is up by 3 minutes on last year.

In Sweden Nikola Pasic, who has had a very up and down year with injury and changing clubs, bagged his first goal for his new club a couple of weeks ago in the Swedish second division.

He was looking promising in 2020-21 for Linkopings but has taken a big step back this year. Hoping he can find his way back the rest of this year.

In Finland Etu Pakilla got a goal in a 6-5 win.

Will dig up some more later on.

Now THAT’S the honest assessment I’d love to see from a club’s media mouthpiece! They ‘wasted chances with unnecessary passes!’

I am not sure how official that Twitter account is in terms of club affiliation. @Guadana might be able to tell us. It made me laugh though thats for sure.

No points for Luke in his first game back from the WJC. Michigan won 4-1 against UMass.

Case McCarthy had a point on an empty net goal in BC's 7-1 win in Friday. He was held scoreless in a 5-2 win last night.

His stat line for the season is:

GP: 18 G:5 A:7 P: 12 +/-: -1

He has already matched his best production for a season in 14 less games. He is having a good year. He is leading all BU d men in points and has worked his way onto their top pair. He plays in all situations and is having a really good year.

Luke gets back on the scoresheet with a slightly odd assist tonight in Michigan's back to back series win over UMass.

Some nice skating to hold it on the zone, but a pretty weak shot that could have lead to an odd man rush the other way.

He does have a habit of trying to force stuff rather than staying patient. His skating is so good he could probably hold onto the puck a lot longer on that play and walk the line to open things up.
