Chimaira_Devil_#9
Luke Hughes Update: The goal above was his 17th of the season. Which ties him for second on the team, one goal behind Matty Beniers. Michigan won 4-1 over MSU, the second game of their series is tonight.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
Chase Stillman: Stillman had 4 points across his last two games and is on an 11 game point streak. This has coincided with the Pete's best winning run of the season. He had a goal and an assist in The Pete's 4-2 win over the Niagara ice dogs on the 3rd March. Here is his goal, a really nice play and backhand: He also had two assists in the Pete's 6-3 comeback win against the same opponents last night. He now has 41 points in 45 games and is well above all his season totals for last year. Edited March 5, 2022 by Chimaira_Devil_#9

The most encouraging part is every time we see one of these clips of him scoring, he’s doing it in a different way. He can score from anywhere.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
Arseny Gritsyuk: After the Olympic break the KHL kicks back into action. Given current events there has been a lot of flux in terms of teams with a large number of the Finns leaving. The Gagarin Cup playoffs Avangard are in a series with AK Bars. They currently hold a 2-0 series lead. Gritsuyk had an assist in the second game on a goal from Corban Knight (see how long he stays in Russia). The account doing the replays from the KHL has stopped uploading them until the conflict ends. His coverage was actually better than that of the KHL on twitter. Chimaira_Devil_#9
Case McCarthy: The Terriers have a series against Maine. McCarthy had been in and out of the lineup recently. He started in their 5-1 win last night, he finished with a stat line full of 0's. They play the second game of the series tonight. Ethan Edwards: Since Power came back from the Olympics Edwards has managed to keep his place in the Michigan side. He finished last night's game with 2 shots for an even rating. Artem Shlaine: UConn dropped their penultimate game of the regular season to Vermont 5-3. Shlaine actually got the go ahead goal before UConn were pegged back. UConn are already through to the Hockey east championship , so there is no pressure in the last game. Shlaine has 16 points in 32 games. Patrick Moynihan: PC finished up their season with a game against the USNDT. They lost 5-4. Moynihan had a single assist. The Friars start their post season on Wednesday.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
Quick Update: Arseni Gritsyuk: Gritsyuk scored the first goal in Avangards 2-0 win over Ak Bars. They now hold a 3-0 series lead and it's seems likely Gritsyuk will be seeing at least another round. Shakir Mukhamadullin: Shakir is starting for Ufa on their playoff series with Sibir. He has played every game so far. One item to note is that he hasn't scored a single point since the 31st of October. He is averaging 15 minutes and 19 seconds per game. So he is getting time. Hard to tell how he is getting on from a distance.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
College Games: The college tournaments all kick off this week. Luke Hughes and Ethan Edwards at Michigan will kick off against Notre Dame. First game 12 March. Case McCarthy and BU start against Artem Shlaine the UConn Huskies. Also the 12th. Patrick Moynihan and Providence are in a series against Vermont. That game is played on the 9th. Cole Brady and the ASU Sun Devils have a series agains Long Island University. Haven't picked Brady up much this year. He has a save percentage of 0.900 across 13 games and his GAA is 3.89. Very "Devils goaltender of 2021-22" numbers there.

I have looked back at his game log and to be fair he has played less games than I though he did in that time. He has only played 13 games for Ufa in tha period. He went away for the WJC in December. By the time he came back the KHL had a break for the Olympics, and it has taken him a while to get back in the side. But even still he has only scored 3 points since the 1st of October when he played 14 games in a month. The stop start year can't have helped him. Chimaira_Devil_#9
College Update: Case McCarthy (BU) Vs Artem Schlaine (UConn) UConn came out on top in the Hockey East quarter final. Boston had a decent year so this will be a disappointment to them. Both Devils prospects were held scoreless in the game. It Brings Case McCarthy's season to an end. He played in 26 games scoring 5 goals, 9 assists for 14 points. This was his Third season at BU so will be interesting to see what he does next. Schlaine and UConn move onto the next round against Northeastern. Game on Friday. Patrick Moynihan (PC mens Hockey). The friars won their first game against Vermont 2-1 , Moynihan was held off the scoresheet in that one . There next game was on Saturday the 12th against UMass. Again no points for Moynihan but he led the team in shots and was a +1 for the game. That brings Moynihans season to a close, in 38 games he had 25 points (11g, 14a) that puts him at 0.66 PPG pace which is way down on his previous total for last year. Again he is in his third year so will be interesting to see what his next steps are. Cole Brady (ASU). The Sun Devils actually won both their games against Long Island. Cole Brady did not feature in either game. He seems to have lost the backup roll as well. At this stage it's not looking good. Luke Hughes and Ethan Edwards (Michigan) As others said neither Devils prospect picked up a point. But Michigan move on to face the Minnesota in the next round. SterioDesign
So has anyone heard any comparison between Hughes and Power? Same team, i assume Power is getting top line minutes and bigger assignments. But he's almost a year older too so i'd like to hear how people who are watching them would compare them
