I think it was Ruff’s way of saying something while saying nothing. I will say again, while many people are thinking Yegor is a superstar in the making, he basically had a hot 5 weeks last season. If Jack comes back quickly and does Jack things, I think Yegor will be fine. Agree with the "zero faith"...I think they know Jack suffered a pretty serious injury, but want to be sure exactly what it is before saying anything more...hence, there will be an update after the evaluation. Don't really think anyone has Yegor becoming a superstar...if anything, I think his potential top end is Palms-type production...and that's fine. Palms for most of his Devils career popped in about 30 G per 82 GP, and was around that rate in all but his last year here. I'll happily take that from Yegor. He has been pretty invisible in two games so far, but it's two games. FWIW, he started off very slow last year too.

Maybe not on this board, but a whole lot of our fan base thinks he is the second coming. “Palms type production” being 30 goals a season and an All Star Game appearance, I would sign up for that. Perhaps if that is his talent level, 30 becomes 35-40 if he plays next to Jack consistently, keeping in mind that Palmieri didn’t really play with a center of that caliber. Satans Hockey
Great game besides Jack getting hurt, really hope he's ok but his reaction walking down the hallway was certainly concerning. Bernier has been a really solid addition so far too.

Had a goal disallowed by a 0.1 second, and was dominant defensively. Bratt so far? Meh. Well Bratt made that great pass to Nico though for that "goal" lol worth mentioning Bratt does look like the guy who makes fancy looking things all the time so it gives you hope but it rarely translate to anything, so hopefully his production is picking up Edited October 20, 2021 by SterioDesign

There were several, if not many, on the Devils reddit who were saying Yegor is going to be a 35-40 goal scorer a couple months back. I think that is very optimistic. I would be fine for 25G per 82GP and I think that is far more realistic.

This is what I think is best-bet. 30+ to me would be a bonus (even though I have that listed as his top-end, doesn't mean I think he'll necessarily reach that. Maybe he hits that once or twice). Every player is basically MacKinnon. It is a severe disappointment if we don't win every single stanley cup. If you take DM84's negativity, flip it, and multiply it by 6,000 you get the overall positivity there. Remember when I was Zacha stanning here for like two years, saying "he's not playing well right now but I know he WILL eventually play well", those same takes were getting downvoted on that subreddit because I was being too negative! I don’t even read it anymore. I got downvoted for mentioning that all of Yegor’s scoring was basically during a 6 week period. I didn’t express any other opinion, it was 100% factual. 12 minutes ago, Devil Dan 56 said: Rich with the scoop! Right about the time that Quinn becomes available. Not a sell-out, but definitely a better than normal weeknight crowd for a western conference opponent. Lowers and 100’s were just about full. I was there and I was pretty impressed with the crowd. A few empty seats in every section but otherwise full. Not bad for a Tuesday night game against an expansion club.

Much more people there than I was expecting. And def some Seattle jerseys here and there. And like others have mentioned, I already hate the Kraken. I was actually thinking they might be fun to follow as a secondary kind of team...not that I would be all that emotionally attached (there's no room left for that...it's all for the Devils), but I dig their jerseys, and the idea of a hockey team in Seattle is kinda cool...but fvck them. I don't care if it's rational to hate them. I just do.
Satans Hockey
Hard to gauge cause last night was also one of the games you could get free tickets to make up for the lights going out preseason game plus I received an email about this so I'm sure others did too... I saw a couple posts about this on FB yesterday. Brought me back memories of when JVB was literally giving out free tickets to almost every game a month into the 10-11 season.

mfitz804
There was a stretch where I had gotten tickets from a friend, and then with coat night, canned food drive, toy drive, etc, I went to like 5 games.

Believe me when I tell you that this dude was livid that he spent thousands of dollars, only to see lower level seats literally being given away for free. And I don’t blame him, because I’d be livid too. Edited October 20, 2021 by MadDog2020
Rock
My partial plan is only for a 1/4 of a season, but in the past it ballooned up to almost a half season plan with the coat drive, food drive, toys for tots etc.😎

So I kept doing it. I remember I had to go to the last game alone because it fell during the week and my wife refused to go or let me take my daughter a 5th time on a school night. Having reserved a single seat, I was about 10 rows behind the goal. Was a good run though.

I went to about 20ish games that season without having STH and spending a combined maybe $50-75 total. There was that "contest" where literally everyone who entered won free lower level tickets There were the drives where you got free tickets There were those viewing parties where a rep would give everyone in the room a free pair of tickets in the lower level. Then there was those special links that people posted all over social media to get lower levels for like $10 a piece lol.
