I've been lucky...only one came unwashed (Zajac's Elias Night), and the smell was actually quite faint...I would say on a scale of 1-10, maybe a 1.5 tops.  I used fabric softeners (about 10 of them) and put them in a box with the jersey...by the next morning, the smell was completely gone.  

I posted mostly in reference to DM84's experience with B.O. Parenteau's McMullen Night gamer, which from his account smelled somewhere between vomit and pure death.
