If they can get to five over NHL-.500 within a reasonable timeframe, I’ll start to think they might be able to challenge for a WC spot.

The only downside of this is that this gives the illusion that our coaching staff is fine as it is and that management was right in not replacing them

Boqvist has 70+ games played. How many games do you play and still get called a rookie? NJ actually won games because Josefson was so good at SOs.

It's a pointless argument. Josefson played 276 games for NJ and scored 18 goals. And you are right - at least half of them came in SO, which Boquist, rookie or not, is never a part of. Meanwhile congrats on the win.

Trying not to think about that, but you’re not wrong.

Boqvist is a hanger on who has been around for 3 seasons and cannot stick because he adds nothing. If it weren’t for Covid, he may not have played in the NHL this season or last.

Jack Hughes 3 game point streak (3g-5a)

Nico Hischier 5 game point streak (3g-3a)

Yegor Sharangovich 4 game point streak (3g-2a)

Dawson Mercer 2 game point streak (1g-2a)

Damon Severson 2 game point streak (1g-2a)

12 G and 18 A for Jack in his last 35 NHL games.  Really feels like he’s turning a corner.

We can drop it, but for the record my assertion was just that Yayo was more useful not that he was "good" or "better".

Technically no, but it’s 7 lost points and they are first in the division by one point. Could be a much more comfy lead.

Agree, but they won't miss the playoffs. Their solid veteran core is probably the best in the league. They are a cup contender and I won't be surprised to see them win it.

Agreed, that’s why it’s surprising they haven’t won a single game in overtime.
