I remember having read about the deal that allowed the Canadiens to select LaFleur (I read this just after his death), but I didn't know about any of the others. I obviously remember Mel Bridgman as a player (especially with the Devils), but I had no idea he went first overall. *Well, knew about Lindros of course, but like the article said, that wasn't really the same kind of deal, as the others. Was also funny (and sad) about the Rockies' moves...damn they just had a way of making SO many bad deals...over and over again. None of those guys are available. MAYBE if we get the first overall and one of them needs a center and and wants Shane Wright specifically. Oettinger has looked great as well. Askarov is supposedly highly regarded. If they pick in the top 5 there will be a player there we will be thrilled to draft. Slafkovsky is the player I think would be the best fit here. But Knight in particular is already playing games and gaining valuable experience, with an aging goalie in front of him...all Florida would be doing by dealing him off is force themselves to look for another Spencer Knight.
