Well NOW at least the middle of the order decides to show up

Hopefully they have more than two runs in them.

Yeah I don't think two will be enough either, Max certainly doesn't have unhittable stuff today but hopefully he can grind his way into the 8th at least.

Yeesh that pitch count...we might be doing well to get into the 7th here and pray the pen holds up long enough to get it to Diaz

Sorry Jake, sorry Max, both of you came up as puny as everyone else so far in this series.  Yeah no pitching edge here.

Same ol Mets.

And there goes the division off the bat off Swanson. In a big spot, they collapsed. gutlessly

better ready for that wild card game

It’s not a game, it’s a three-game series.  But yeah feels like they already lost.

And not for nothing but how is it every motherfvcking guy the Braves bring up immediately becomes a star while all our 'prospects' sh!t the bed for the most part?

Because their organization is light-years ahead of the Mets.  Whenever they absolutely need to beat the Mets, they will.  And the Mets will predictably drop their tails between their legs and let it happen.  Same ol fvcking Mets.  At least they were actually relevant this year, and will still make the playoffs.  But goddamn same ol same ol.

I didn't think it was possible for Max to come up smaller than Jake...this fvcking franchise and this fvcking city...a near 100-win season only to choke in Atlanta YET AGAIN

Yeah seriously, they can both fvck right off.  These are the games you need to come up big.  Mets got exposed for being Charmin soft, and it’s crushingly disappointing.

And I know in theory they can still win the Wild Card round but who the fvck really thinks we'll get through San Diego, LA AND Atlanta in the same damn playoff just to get to a World Series?  With this offense and a starting pitching that's been de-mystified?

I couldn’t be more down on them right now.  I don’t even want to try to guess what might happen in the postseason.

Would’ve been nice if Eppler could’ve been bothered to have made legit “We want this thing” moves at the deadline, but nope, it’s always gotta be about next year to some level here.  Congrats on Fat fvck, Naquin, Ruf, and Givens…they really helped.

LOL Pete and Lindor have the emptiest as fvck numbers ever.   I know Lindor had two hits tonight but you knew they wouldn't do sh!t here.

It’s Reyes and Wright all over again.  Really is.

Wright at least had a big September in either 2007 or 2008 and some big hits off the Yankees (Rivera) but yeah...Pete's heading down that path of a popular big-time Met who just doesn't have ENOUGH of those moments.  Not nearly as many as his overall numbers suggest.

I wish the Mets had a Chipper, Freeman…hell, even Keith Hernandez. You just felt like Keith was going to get that huge hit.  You don’t get that feeling with Pete and Lindor…you just don’t.  Like you said, empty numbers.

Mets getting mowed right down now.  Of course they are.  Kudos to the Braves…they know how to win when the absolutely have to.  They smell blood and they pounce.  The Mets wilt.  Coming up small at the absolute worst time…shows a lot.

Well it’s up to you Bassitt.  The Money Twins sure weren’t up to the challenge.

I guess given how often this team came up short in September (lots of meh play against lousy teams), we really shouldn’t be all that surprised that a top team is beating them in such efficient, business-like fashion.  At least the Mets still have one game left in this series to try to reclaim control of their destiny.

Canha is Doofus 2.0.  Another guy who disappears against better competition.

Naquin takes an 0-fer…total shocker there.

And they go down with a comeplete whimper.  P*ussies.

Not even a tease against Jansen tonight...dude is fvcking shaky against everyone else but has like a .75 career ERA against the Mets.

They’ve been completely schooled.  I’ll be stunned if they put up much of a fight tomorrow.  Braves are ready to finish them off for the East.
