I think we have a sizeable hole on defense right now between PK departing and Smith playing like he does. Luke would slot right in. If he doesn’t, I wonder if Luke would have second thoughts about going back? I definitely don’t want to rush him, but I would feel a little better about him joining the big club now that Nas is gone. The only way I think that he smells the AHL is if he has a tough time in the NHL (as opposed to Utica being a stepping stone) and gets sent down for more seasoning...but even Smith didn't wind up playing in Utica this season, and that's a guy who really seemed to need it. 16 hours ago, Nicomo said: Still haven’t seen anything about the Michigan coach returning or not. But hopefully whoever comes in to replace him has the slightest clue. Gonna completely lose my sh!t if some nASS Part Deux is the next guy up. Slaf is a big version of Jack Hughes. I would prefer to trade down if mtl will decide to pick Slaf. Realy great draft and how awesome to have top 5 pick this year. Severson score, and I would say score against. Typical Damon. I would prefer 1 year in AHL or even in Ncaa for Luke but if he can handle it - he can handle it. I'm just not a fan of rushing players, especially defenemen. I would say we have QB's, and I would prefer to give a chance to Nikita or Kevin, and find stayathome RD to partner them. We should trade Smith out from the beginning Mercer looked good too. Hope Fitz will find right goalie. Team is full of talent.
