I’m in the process of selling off and re-buying parts of my wardrobe due to a size change, that should NOT be a taxable event in any stretch of the imagination.

The whole thing is ridiculous, I sell the vast majority of my season tickets for face value but with the $600 being the amount that's really basically nothing when it's my Devils and Red Bulls tickets. I can miss like 6 games combined and hit that mark quickly but then I have to fill extra paperwork out for literally no reason. Plus the way I read I can report the total amount of tickets I've bought, Devils and Red Bulls for example, let's just say it's 10k. If I sold 5k I owe nothing but if I sell 11k I owe tax on the 1k difference. The whole thing is confusing and not necessary. Especially cause they went from 20k AND 200 transactions to 600 bucks and 1 transaction. At least lower it to 10k AND 100 transactions. All this sh!t does is hurt the middle and lower classes. I wonder if I still get a 1099 from Ticketmaster and stubhub.

Satans Hockey
Saw Hamlin's toy drive go fund me and it reminded me that the Devils didn't do the toys for tots drive or the food drive this year. They only did the coat drive which was donate money only. I can understand not having it the previous two seasons with the mess of everything going on but there was no excuse for not having the 3 of them in person this season. I personally don't like donating money instead of the physical items because I have no idea where it actually goes. Not saying any of this cause I want vouchers, I don't need any more Devils tickets. Just a missed opportunity to help out others cause they always did collect a ton of donations for all 3. Satans Hockey
Season ticket renewal info went out yesterday. Prices definitely went up, I'm not sure how much on mine exactly but definitely went up a bit, I have to do the math on it and check. Playoff ticket prices definitely have a sticker shock on them too but I've saved so much money over the last decade with only 2 playoff games that it doesn't bother me much. The biggest thing that some people are going to be pissed off about is that it says if you opt out of renewing it doesn't look like you'll get your same seats for this year's playoffs which is really messed up if it's true and I'm not just reading it wrong... My only really complaint is the $15 dollar service charge. You just raised the prices, can you just include it in the damn ticket prices so it's just hidden. It just feels like being nickel and dimed. Either don't charge me at all for it or at least just include it in the cost already.
jagknife
SH, that kinda reads like you gotta pay it all up front, no pay-as-you-go. But I know nothing, I haven’t had to think about seasons since I moved in ‘13

I'm renewing so it won't matter to me. They are definitely doing playoff pricing like we are playing the Rangers so it would be silly not to offer people who are opting out the playoff games, I'd rather Devils fans get those seats than see more released to the general public. I want as big of a home playoff atmosphere as we can get.

I don’t think we’ll ever see the cost of anything in that arena go down, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised to see it continue to increase.

Besides 1 souvenir cup every season I don't buy anything despite how many games I go to.

And the fact is people are often willing to pay whatever prices are set. If I’m not in the Lofts, I usually take my daughter out to dinner beforehand…better value and food quality. Hope this new supplier means improved offerings.
2ELIAS6
I don’t usually eat when I go to games unless I’m actually hungry but I prefer to wait to eat elsewhere. I will buy several beers though lol 1

I just like letting them know that the only way I'm gonna spend money there is if they actually put in fan friendly pricing. I really don't get why more teams haven't tried it when Atlanta has shown that they have mare more money than ever before by doing it. People show up earlier and eat inside and spend more cause they don't feel like they are being ripped off. Then they also have said more people are spending more on merch cause they have more leftover from not wasting it on food. A bottle of water at prudential is like $5.50, it's absolutely insane when a 24 case doesn't even cost that much.

eldon
Besides prices, felt the nachos were not a bad deal, (for arena prices) and the chicken fingers and tater tots, were the only food items we had the last couple of years. Pro sporting event concessions are overpriced everywhere. Did Chipotle on Market, a handful of times, when not enough time to eat out before getting to the game. During the playoffs, the $5 sausage sandwich from the truck, was a steal.
