Rob_Ottawa
Ya last year was bizarre. I've never seen such horrible goaltending and the sheer amount of menders needed. One positive note, Schmid emerged from that year of goaltending sh!t as a much better player, like a phoenix rising from the sh!t ashes. And yes I'm speaking like Mr. leahey a bit. Love that show. Patrick Sundstrom Ghost
Well no defenseman to replace Smith, and no other bottom 6 forward besides Lazar, but it's really hard to be disappointed in anything TF has done this season besides the mistakes he made with Holtz. I guess Luke is next man up, as I can't see Smith playing in the playoffs unless for injuries, and even if there were I would rather Luke, Bahl and even Simon be in the lineup than him. I hope Holtz is healthy and can play for Utica soon and he finishes the season strong and if they need him, he gets himself ready to help NJ. I think Akira has a chance here to put a big foot forward on his future with these next games, he deserves to play, and if he can continue to be steady it helps solve another big issue next season when it comes to the Cap. Guadana
Understand that they will build strong top 6 with Meier but it could be very interesting if they could try to use Nico/Mercer/Jack/Bratt/Timo core as three lines material. Something like Tatar Nico Mercer Bratt Haula Meier Palat Jack Sharangovich Or Bratt Boqvist Meier Haula Jack Palat or Meier Jack Sharangovich Palat Haula Bratt Just to have three dominant lines. I’d personally bring him in, maybe on the wing Or even to spell Haula? Mcleod was lights out on faceoffswhen it mattered last night. Think he was 4 for 4 in OT. gotta keep playing Wood because of his heater. Maybe scratch Bastian to give them a different look?

Lazar plays with more pace than bastian. Might be a good fit with wood and McLeod?

Honest broker: I’m unfamiliar with his play other than knowing he plays defensively, can fight and doesn’t take stupid penalties. That’s the type of player we’ll need in our lineup for sure come the brutal stretch vs Tampa.

Rob_Ottawa
Lol. lazar is tiny, not close to listed six feet tall, more like 5'8". He won't be sending any scary messages to NYR, but he may be a hardworking penalty killer. Edited March 4 by Rob_Ottawa

Rob_Ottawa
As I said, that bio is wrong. I've seen him play in Ottawa after first being drafted.
