43 was the number their mother wore when she played.

Did not know that. Was wondering about the significance.

I like that he says he’s out of the loop and then shows he’s very much in the loop and knows all Luke’s stats lol. All 3 of these guys are so supportive of each other

At least Quinn’s team is showing signs of turning the corner (15-6-3 in their last 24). Poor guy needs some reason to hope better times lie ahead…especially as he’s entering his prime.

It's gotta be tough for him because a few months ago, maybe we would've had room for a player like him. The window was very small but he could have potentially been a fit here, but with the deadline transactions we made, and players like Luke and Nemec on the way to the big leagues, I just don't see how Quinn fits in with the future of the Devils. He's gonna be watching from the outside in - his two little brothers tearing it up in one of the biggest sports markets in North America.

Other than the whole "Ain't that cute the Hughes bros are all playing together!" thing, there really wasn't any reason to try to make that happen this season...for one, with L Hughes, Nemec, and even Casey in the fold, along with what's already here (specifically Hamilton), taking on Quinn's hit would've been nuts...especially with other needs to address. And not like Vancouver would trade him without getting an insane return...brought this up a while ago, but if the Devils had ever come knocking, if I'm Vancouver, I ask for Luke and other pieces. No, I absolutely wouldn't do it either, but the Canucks don't want to trade Quinn...he's not available. And given that the team looks like it might be turning the corner, they gotta hang on to Petterson and Quinn as part of their core to build around.

That being said, I wouldn't fully rule out Hughes, Hughes and Hughes being Devils together way down the line, depending on the state of the Canucks and the Devils...say, possibly during the 2025-26 or 2026-27 season, as Quinn's contract gets much closer to expiring (along with an aging Hamilton's, though he'll have an extra year longer than Quinn left on his deal). But obviously way too early to know if The Three Hughes-es could ever actually become a thing. What's scary is that if it ever DID happen, all three would still be fairly young...all would still be in their 20s.

One game that the Devils simply HAVE to find a way to win if they NEED it: the season finale vs the Caps. The Caps are fully playing like a dead team walking...6-16-3 since 2/12, 1-7-1 in their last nine, and winless in their last six.

Those guys always seem to play us tough but hopefully they could find a way to bury them if the game matters

I’m seeing playoff tix go on sale to public tomorrow at 11am? If true, everyone do their part…tell your family, friends to try and go keep the blue out. And wear red! None of this alternate Jersey nonsense.

These Caps aren't THOSE Caps...they're not only not playing for anything, they're also banged up. Their building might not even have many fans showing up (especially if Ovechkin is out...not sure what his situation is, but he was out for Saturday's game). Maybe the Caps come out strong initially (having no pressure on them at all), but that's a game that, assuming it's one that the Devils really should try to win, that they simply gotta find a way. Doesn't have to be pretty, just get the damned two points.

Sucks that we don't know WHEN the games will be just yet. I definitely WANT to go, and I want to take my kid to go to her first playoff game ever.

According to the video NJD posted to their YouTube Luke will be getting into one of the last two games of the season.

Two guesses:

It will be against the Caps.

Devils will go 11/7. If the Devils are comfortably ahead after the first period, Luke will get some extra minutes, with Hamilton probably the one to sit the most in being protected against potential injury.

Anyone else have a partial plan?

Supposed to get an e-mail before 3pm. Still waiting, <45 minutes away..

You guys are going to be very, No EXTREMELY disappointed when you see how the team decided to handle this. I had my friend who is a sth try grabbing me some tickets for the first round. They have gouged the sh!t out of these tickets so badly, i dont know what they’re thinking or who is going to buy them. The cheapest lower level seat is well over $400. A seat in the 200s is $200. I guess this is how you thank your fan base for their support over the last ten losing seasons by pricing them right out of the goddamn building. Couldn’t be more disappointed with this, especially bc these exact seats were offered for sth to buy additional strips less then a month ago and the lower level seat that was over $400 today, was $106 per game through the first round. Real piece of sh!t thing to do

I just checked tickets on the Caps site and it is all fans trying to sell their tickets. I would love to go but too hard on a Thursday night.

Yeah I can’t wait for the schedule to finally release. I would guess Tues and Thurs to be our home games. Your kid is going to have a blast. Nothing compares to playoff hockey and it’s atmospheres.

The games in 2018 vs Tampa were insane at the Rock. Butcher’s goal took the roof off.

I feel your sentiment. I could only hope that a silver lining is that this too keeps rag fans away.

My seats are now closer to 2.5x the cost that I paid vs what they are charging now for face value plus fees.

I'd have season tickets regardless of playoffs or not but this is a nice huge discount for full season ticket holders.

Partial plan holders should have gotten some sort of discount though as well.
