Same here. Gonna probably do one game per round.

I may do more depending…it’s tough because depending on what days that they Devils play their home games, l may be limited as to the games that I can take my daughter to, due to her activity schedule.  I can definitely go with a friend here and there on nights she can’t come with me, but if the Devils manage to go deep enough, I’d like to save money for games in the later rounds.  Potentially take my kid to a Conference Final or even a SCF game?  Hells ya!

I also want to watch as many playoff games with her as possible…even it means recording the games and starting them later.  This season has been a blast for BOTH of us!  Want to keep enjoying that awesome daddy-daughter time.

They need to do whatever the hell they did in 2012. There was blue of course- but I went to every home game in that series, and there were nowhere near the amount of Rag fans for any of those games as there are at your typical Devs-Rags game at the Rock. It was solid red.

We advanced in 5, they advanced in 7 to the conference finals so the Devils put tickets on sale a good 3-4 days beforehand so you didn't have as many Ranger fans buying tickets in advance since it was a gamble for them whether they would have to eat the money or not cause resale wouldn't have been as high.

Makes sense. I do recall though that there were some type of measures sales-wise taken by the Devils to try and actively diminish the number of Rag fans that year.

FWIW vivid has seats for under $200 in the 200s (before fees and crap of course).  I can swing the costs but probably won’t go to more than one game per round.  Will figure it out as I go.

But vivid happens to be one of the worst with fees, those tickets will be significantly more expensive. I think im overly disappointed because before this was a damn near definite ranger game, the prices for tickets were literally a fraction of what they did to us now. I got a price chart and to sit down stairs devils defend twice. High rows were $106/game first round. So when i went into this today i had expectations of buying all the games first round, only to find out they literally quadrupled them on us. It’s not right.

We also need to remember that this was different ownership at that time. That owner was known to be a fan as well. This ownership is downright business people… highly doubt they are actually fans other than wanting their product to make them the most money as possible

I could be wrong but on top of two exciting playoff rounds behind us, management I think made showing proof of NJ residence a requirement for buying presale. I could be wrong but I think that was the case. Those games were 95% red. It was astonishing.

They definitely didn't require proof of NJ residence, like I said before the main reason the tickets went to Devils fans was cause we advanced to the conference finals before the Rangers and the Devils made sure to get them on sale as soon as we advanced. Season ticket holders, full, half, partials, etc all bought the extras up immediately.

Most people kept the tickets instead of reselling them too.

The Devils win their final 2, they are in great shape to win division, as Florida lost in OT, and so they have to win against Carolina, since Pitt plays two of the worst teams in the league, and the Isles play Mon.

Buff still has the slimmest chance to make it with their win tonight over the Rangers, but again Pitt is not losing those games, so they really are DOA they just don't know it yet.

The Devils will put them out of their misery though tomorrow night, so that's that.

LFGD.

Just bought tix to Game 1 and Game 2...good lord.  Up in a corner for each and yeah, once fees were added on, they were a LOT (a tick under $250 a pop).  We'll see what they are for the next round...but my kid is going to be in the building for the playoffs.  So looking forward to that, big time.

Well now that Luke is playing...

Who's coming out?

Or are the Devils going 11/7, with Luke to get heavily protected minutes?

I would imagine it has to be the latter, with McLeod and Lazar still both iffy.

Is Hamilton definitely playing? Saw posts saying he was sick

Maybe that in part is driving the decision to play Luke.

So the deal is this: if the Devils beat Washington on Thursday and Florida beats Carolina- we win the division and play the Panthers in the first round.

Insane FLA is in given how their season went.

We can also take it if we just get 1 point as long as Carolina loses in regulation.
