He's scoring basically every game and making plays happen single handedly. Only other players I see do it as consistently as he does are McDavid and Ovi.  He's certainly getting in the ranks of Matthews, MacKinnon and Kucherov if you ask me.

Well if that's the argument well there's over 13 players in points ahead of him right now so they are obviously doing the same exact thing, if not more. And there's another bunch right behind that could jump over him any given day so i'm just not sure there's a strong argument to make "at the moment" for him being a a clear top 3.

He's one of the youngest of the bunch though so it's certainly possible than when he hits his prime that he is.

Fitz:  the answer is in the room, because during the season I can’t be bothered to find any.

I do wonder what he's thinking watching the season slip away and the majority of the team unable to do much of anything and just relying on our first round picks.

Honestly, what other team does that sound like?

I'd say at the moment Tage Thompson is ahead of him but when Tage was Jack's age he was really not much so that's very very encouraging. Also Tkachuk and Jack are pretty much head to head for me at the moment. But same thing, Jack is much younger

I’ll be perfectly honest, I forgot about Thompson and that he’s American.

I almost wrote top 3 Americans, but forgot about a certain defender

Is there a team with a worse home ice advantage in the league than us?

Losing 8, possibly 9 straight unless they turn this around at home is wild. I wonder when the last time they lost this many at home was. Even during all the sh!t years over this past decade I really don't recall losing this many straight at home.

I’m thinking there should be some type of move if they lose today (and it sure looks like they will). A trade for a winger, promoting Brunette and bumping Lindy upstairs (they aren’t going to outright fire him). Something to change things up.

A shakeup is badly needed before we lose any hope on the season. It’s bleak right now, but not recoverable. We don’t need a seismic move (like mortgaging the future) but a shakeup to move the goddamn needle is a must

Yep. We’ve reached that point. They need a wake up call. Now.

My comment wasn't made to be treated like the gospel. I don't care to debate if he's the third best player in the league or the 12th beat player, because that's subjective. Point is that Jack is already a superstar, but the rest of the team is lagging far behind.

Horrible shift by Graves and Siegs

What a lifeless start to this 3rd period after being down 2 to a rival at home after you just lost 8 straight here. This team needs a wake up call.
