CR said sharangovich needs shots to be useful.. agreed!  he may need to play up with skill players to do that though...cause he sure as hell doesnt create any by himself, like a tatar.. most of his goals are with the top 6. i think they need to keep rotating him in at intervals to try and jump start him

I also dont know why hes on the kill.  maybe lindy wants him to put his face in a shot out of pure frustration

I'd really like to see that Sharangovich-Hughes-Mercer line get a look, for at least 2-3 games.  If it turns out that their numbers wind up being inflated due to playing with Jack, so be it...at least that means they'll be finishing.  That's a step up from what Haula and Tatar are doing on Jack's line.  The big question will be does that line get slammed with high danger chances the other way?

My problem with Shango in the top-6 is that I don’t find him to be demonstrably better than Tatar offensively, but we’ve seen snarl and chippiness from Tatar even when he isn’t finding the stat sheet. I think he deserves more minutes than Sharangovich.

I'm not a huge Rango believer myself, but he's either a Top-6 guy getting SOG or he's borderline useless.  Consider this a "Here's your last chance to show us you can produce when everything's lined up for you to produce."

I'll give you that Tatar is racking up points lately (9 in his last 9 games), so kinda hard to make a case for him coming off Jack's line right this second.

Since we're just theorizing here. Maybe having a kid did affect Sharangovich's mental focus.

I mean i know NHLers are professionals. But i've played sports with a lot of people and I very clearly seen a drop of interest, efforts, commitment, etc etc from some people once they have kids. Some even dropping out completely from... well anything they use to do. Which is pretty sad.

It's understandable to some extent cause your routine and everything is changing suddenly and now this baby is the center of your universe, etc etc. Some people can do it without skipping a beat and some others just can't.

I know it's a spoiled thing to ask for given the last decade of Devils hockey and I should just be happy with a win, but I would like one of those no anxiety wins tonight against the Ducks.  Just curb stomp this team from the very beginning.

Always a little tougher because of the whole WC time change thing, but yeah, just go up by 2-3 by the first intermission, score a back-breaker in the first half of the second, and then pocket a 5-2 or 6-1 win and call it a night.

I think Haula has naked pictures of Jack’s mom that he threatens to share if Jack doesn’t say he really likes Haula on his line.

I don’t think Jack has the kind of sway to pick his line mates. Ruff has said quite a few times that he likes the possession numbers with Haula there. I really don’t know why he’d go back to that line after a win though. At least try Palat in that slot.

Sharo has one of the best wrist shots on the team. However he's a one trick pony. Doesn't create any space for linrmates. Everyone thinks you need to have 3 offensively gifted guys on a line? Lindy likes Huala on Jack's line because he thinks the game better.  Doesn't have speed/mitts of Jack,  but Huala's more of a pit bull.  All coaches these days are the same, you play your way up and down the line up. Loving that 4th line  20, 91, and 70. They might just make some noise eh?

Interesting that Vitek is starting tonight, guess Blackwood gets the start against the tougher team tomorrow? Makes sense.

I would’ve played Blackwood tonight and given Vitek the extra day to acclimate.

But I’m sure it’s not the only thing I would do incorrectly.
