Is this on the Yotes or on Galchenyuk? My guess is the latter. Yotes know something we don't... Yet.

Found an old article but it may address long time issue. Maybe happened again?

If he has a history of abusing something and the team announces this out of no where, I would bet he fell back into something and possibly failed a prelim drug test if I had to speculate. Might have been a part of his contract if he has a bad history there.

Are teams allowed to do this with the whole substance abuse program being a thing? I could see there being a zero strikes thing, but I thought the whole point of the program was so that players could get help and they wouldn't be locked out of the sport afterwards.

Damn. I was hoping he could turn it around on-ice after some really bad injury luck and his history. If there was a team that was going to give you a chance to revive your career, Arizona is the place to try, but if they have given up on you, rock bottom might be close.

He's going to have to battle to make that top 6. More likely that he gets a chance if someone in front of him gets hurt.

I think it's time to take the steps. Basically he's coming very close to being Reilly Walsh if he at least doesn't make their starting lineups opening night. This is a bigger offseason for him than Alexander Holtz, that's for sure.

Really needs to clean up his dzone work still from what I saw from him. Really needs to battle for a spot this year. They'll just let him walk next year if he doesn't.

While he was in juniors, I never thought he would turn out to be such a bust.  He was captain of the Spokane Chiefs, over a ppg in his last 3 years there. CHL defenseman of the year, NHL all rookie team.  Then he just fell on his face.
