Why not? VV has already set a career-high in minutes played, with 16 games still to go...and Schmid has played well. Can't hurt...especially with such a busy schedule through the end of the season. I think we're going to see the lines mixed around a bunch in order to try some things out and see who fits with who going into the playoffs. Sure it would be nice, but I don't kid myself about the Lightning...they're not THIS bad (shouldn't be, anyway...just like the Devils weren't as bad as their 1-7-1 funk back in December). They're going to bust out at some point, or at the very least start stabilizing. But yeah of course I'd like to see the Devils win the next two...they should be coming in with plenty of confidence.
