Sure it would be nice, but I don't kid myself about the Lightning...they're not THIS bad (shouldn't be, anyway...just like the Devils weren't as bad as their 1-7-1 funk back in December).  They're going to bust out at some point, or at the very least start stabilizing.  But yeah of course I'd like to see the Devils win the next two...they should be coming in with plenty of confidence.

I’m no longer scared of any team outside of Boston. Islanders could be an issue with system and that goaltender. But not scared. Experience could be our downfall. But we have guys with a lot and a few with a little. I’m leery about playing rangers or Pittsburgh because nhl wants those teams to stay in it. Calls could be a little one sided in a series with those teams.

Amazing how quickly Sharangovich has gone right to mothball territory.  Already almost two weeks since he last played...not saying that I don't get it or don't agree with it, because it's not like he didn't get a hell of a lot of games to get it going, as he played in ALL of the Devils' first 61 games prior to being scratched...and he did get some top line minutes there for a while, but just never really ever got it going.  When you're a guy who really needs to score to justify staying in the lineup and you only have 4 goals in your last 38 GP and the Devils bring in a player who's vastly more proven when it comes to scoring goals, that's how it goes.

Even so, he's a better player than Wood.  He's much more skilled, good shot, can kill penalties, doesn't take stupid penalties and he make less $$.

I guess he's this year's Zacha kinda of.

There needs to be a challenge clock. If you don't challenge within 20 seconds of the goal being scored you can't challenge.

Absolutely ridiculous that Tampa got to look at that for 1 min plus.

Didn't NJ take a minor stalling like that last season?
