Thank goodness Nimmo is having the type of season you’d expect of a guy in his walk year rather than one who already got his bag. NJDevs4978
The rotation is gonna be pretty dicey over the next week or so with Carrasco going on the IL and Max going nuclear over the sticky stuff and likely getting an automatic ten game suspension along with the ejection yesterday. At least they can afford a meh trip to SF if it comes to it after starting the WC trip 5-

Colorado Rockies 1976
Mets clinch a winning WC trip. Well done boys! EDIT: Apparently the Devils play baseball too Edited April 21 by Colorado Rockies 1976
NJDevs4978
Might want to fix that typo heh, I’m still too annoyed with how the Devils season is ending to care about the Mets but it is nice they’ve shaken off the early season blahs
Colorado Rockies 1976
Max gets the 10 games. I’m officially sick of him now.
NJDevs4978
Did he actually say he was just doing what the Mets told him to do? I respect the guy as a player but that would be a seriously douchey thing to say
Colorado Rockies 1976
I know the Mets are 13-7 and have stabilized nicely, but I'm just done with the late-30s - 40ish merc route. I have no emotional attachments to guys like that. And it's strictly financial for them. Though obviously severely troubled later, Gooden and Straw...those guys in their early seasons were so easy to grow attached to. deGrom obviously was for much his time here too. NJDevs4978
Peterson is on his way to losing his spot to the Buttos and Lucchesis of the world at this rate, if we ever have a healthy enough rotation for it to matter Edited April 22 by NJDevs4978

NJDevs4978
The Mets are working really hard to ruin all the good they did out West
Colorado Rockies 1976
Wow…didn’t realize that the Mets hadn’t given up an unearned run this year. Escobar REALLY hearing it from the crowd after making an error in the 5th.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Wow total clown show tonight. Guess they couldn’t be bothered this evening. Can still win, but geeeeez.

Colorado Rockies 1976
Not much in the way of big pitches or big hits from the Mets tonight.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Wow. Total lifelessness. 28 K over the last two games. Suffice it to say the 2023 Mets can really look pretty god-awful at times.
'7'
God damn this was a lot harder than it should've been squeezing one damn win out of the Nationals series. A once promising (and overall...still good) road trip fizzled out with consecutive losses that turned into an embarrassing 4 straight L's where the offense absolutely looked comatose and hopeless vs Washington. At least they squeaked one out tonight. Good to see Baty have a great night at the plate. Lindor and Alonso also with good games...if they're not hitting, we're not even competitive it seems Lucchesi, 3 earned runs and pitched into the 6th. Definitely can take that from him. NJDevs4978
LOL one lousy out away from at least having it 0-0 and burning Fried before the game was suspended and Peterson implodes, now they lose a rain-shortened game although they weren't likely to come back on Fried anyway. Colorado Rockies 1976
Mets lose to the Braves and the rain. At 14-7 it felt like they were settling in, but now at 15-12 it feels like this year is going to be a grind.
