I'd still buy the hat if it was our Devils and I don't even wear hats but it's goofy that the 20 and 23 are so separated. Makes it look like they won in 2020 and 2023 to me lol...

100% and unless you’re close up, the hat isn’t readable, unlike the ones when we last won them. Even watching the celebration I couldn’t tell what exactly these said

Sure is, I hope it’s televised lol

I've never read too many players talk about it, but if you're the right kind of guy for it, I imagine living in Vegas and playing pro hockey has gotta be a blast.

And that area now has a NHL team, a NFL team, and will have the A's in due time...that's pretty impressive, considering well under a decade ago they had nothing.  The CFL tried an expansion into the US some time back, which paved the way for the Las Vegas Posse to put in a few seasons...but no one gave the slightest of fvcks, heh heh.  They've come a looooooong way in the pro sports scheme.

It’s a town I’d go back for a game in a heartbeat. The atmosphere was freaking awesome and the people  were a blast

My cousins live out there; one of my cousins went to a few playoff games because one his friends had season tickets. He’s become a pretty big VGK fan.

fans of Canadian NHL teams on twitter/instagram comments are absolutely losing their sh!t about VGK winning the Cup. Saying how terrible it is for the league overall and how Bettman and upper MGMT are sacrificing the sanctity of the game in order to make money and artificially pump-up their expansion teams.

Delusional. That’s what those people are.

It looked like one giant party last night. Definitely a place I'd want to be at if a team was doing well

Curious to see how engaged their fans remain if the GKs ever go through several seasons of irrelevance.

From everything I’ve been reading, they’ve done a wonderful job of marketing themselves as the team for the locals.   Raiders games sound like they are more like a big fight night with everyone flying in for the event.  I imagine VGK will be another Nashville level market for the NHL in a quarter of the time which I would think would have been the goal.

Locally, a lot of my friends parents fell in love with the Flyers when they won the cup in their seventh year in the early 70s and never left.  Assuming they don’t go full Penguins style tank anytime soon and can build around Eichel for years to come I think they will be so engrained that they can withstand the down years.

Marchessault is raising his rather large family there, so you can have both types of lifestyles. But you're right, if you're young and single and well-paid, Las Vegas is one hell of a place to be.
