smelly
Just abused. This is NOT a repeat of Rangers Games 1 and 2. This is a whole lot worse. And telling. Edited May 6 by smelly
NJDevils1214
It was supposed to be 5 to 1 damn it.

Not sure if I’d really call any of them “stars” but Slavin is arguably their best player and he’s already 29. Their defense is kind of on the older side overall. Burns is 38. Pesce is 28. Ghost is 30. Etc. They’ve got some really good young players at forward, but they’re aren’t really in window just now opening mode. 8 minutes ago, NJDevils1214 said: 4th line + Jack. All that survived the regular season lol. We used to be a team that could roll all 4 lines. Haula and Palat were both largely fantastic against the Rags.

NJDfan1711
Careless giveaway by Nico. He said all the right things after Game 7 against the Rags and has backed up none of it with his play on the ice so far.

Jack carries into a triangle of opponents at blue line, backs up slightly, has no options, turns over puck. rinse, repeat for 18 power plays now. If you think about our 9 playoff games, in none of them, even in game 7, the entire team played their best. We've been carried by a few players in every game. Now we are playing against a team, not Kreider and Shesterkin.
NJDfan1711
Two bad breakdowns on those last two goals, but this period actually the Devils have looked better than the first two, and at least showed some life. Let's see what they do at home on Sunday and if they have some pride. They did against the Rags last series. No reason to think they can't do it again. Nicomo
Can’t be afraid to play a rookie dman when you’re getting absolutely blown out in all your losses. We need Luke’s offense. Make the fvcking move Lindy.
Devil Dan 56
It’s fascinating this playoff year that the Devils either win or get absolutely destroyed. Just now, Nicomo said: Can’t be afraid to play a rookie dman when you’re getting absolutely blown out in all your losses. We need Luke’s offense. Make the fvcking move Lindy. Exactly. What’s the worst that happens? We lose by 6?

Maybe if we changed the script for the PP, we’d build momentum instead of squandering or literally handing it to the other team. But they keep doing the exact. Same. Thing. Every. Single. Time.

eaglejelly
I saw the Devils blow out the Blue Jackets in one of the last games of the season. I didn't think I'd see the Devils on the other side of such a game so soon

NJDfan1711
Why is the stadium so empty right now? Are those all Devils fans that left early? I don't get it...who the hell leaves a home playoff game early when your team is up 6-1?

Colorado Rockies 1976
Not much to say about this one. Feels like it’s time to take the shrink wrap off Luke. Why not?
Nicomo
No matter what happens the rest of this series I’m just going to remind myself that they beat the Rags in the playoffs, set the franchise record for wins, and that Jack broke Patty’s points record. There was plenty to feel good about. 1
NJDevils1214
Well the good thing is most of the pain wears off by the end of the game when you were never really in it.
