Seigs is having a nightmare of a game

He’s so frustrating. When he’s on his game he rivals Marino as the best shutdown guy on the team. Problem is he’s just not nearly as consistent.

Right. He’s the reason it is tie game.

You may not like what I post, but it’s true.

Too bad Marino took after him at the end of the period.

Congrats dude. You were right. Is that what you want to hear?

Piss off and take your negativity with you.

Not negative. It was a huge fvcking miss!!! It’s how this team goes. Calm down. I want to win this as much as anyone. I broke up with a girlfriend  over the 2009 series against this a$$hole team. Smashed everything and threw stuff out the front door including the tv. So yeah I want them to fvcking win.

if the team wants to win tonight, they can. it's up to them.

My thoughts exactly.  This team needs to snatch the W.  It's right there for the taking.  I really want Nico to live up to his words and get a goal on his pure heart and hustle.  It would be the epitome of what he preaches and has shown us at times through his worth ethic and determination.

Own the puck and own the space out there.  No passive sh!t.  Keep the legs moving and good things will happen.  C'mon boys!!

I was a bit worried about that as Game 4 unfolded...felt like getting one goal out of those first 10-12 minutes or so wasn't going to be enough, that Carolina was going to pick it up...that being said, I didn't think that the game was going to get SO far away from them in the second period.

Yeah once the Devils beat the Rangers (especially the WAY that they did in Game 7), it's all been bonus to me since.  I did think the Canes could actually be an easier series than the Rangers but I was definitely wrong there.  Regardless, there's nothing that can tarnish 2022-23 for me...if were told that we'd watch the Devils bank 112 points in the regular season and finish with the third-best record, watch Jack fall one point short of 100 (but set a franchise record with 99), witness Nico have a career year and be nominated for the Selke, and top of that see the Devils dispatch a most-hated rival that thought they were Cup-bound...EVERY SINGLE FAN is happily signing up for that.  Even if it ends harshly this year.

They are just playing such tight game and the Devils are just a soft team as presently constructed.

This.

if you have sights on being paid 9MM you cannot miss that in an elimination game.

Some frustrating misses, but no one can say that the Devils have quit.  And the Canes clearly have gone for the kill at times.  Devils have not only withstood that, they’ve even had Carolina on their heels at times.

Not that many players are signed based on their playoff performances. They simply aren't.

The armchair GMs on this board would have a player turnover rate that rivals the Rangers.

I'm confident that we're still in this, but I think the TNT crew is right.

The Cane defense has simply been better throughout this series. On both sides of the puck.

Not sure what the fix is or the adjustment would be tbf.

True. I don’t think you understand my point. That certainly wasn’t it.

I’ll say this: whether Bratt stays is up to him. He either tells his agent to get real or if I’m Fitz he’s on the first train out of here. No time for any games or holdouts. You shat the bed in the playoffs. Regular season warrior. Accept the more than fair offer on the table or have a nice life.
