I’ll say this: whether Bratt stays is up to him. He either tells his agent to get real or if I’m Fitz he’s on the first train out of here. No time for any games or holdouts. You shat the bed in the playoffs. Regular season warrior. Accept the more than fair offer on the table or have a nice life.

Stop being so dramatic. It's a contract negotiation, not a showdown at OK Corral.

Not sure I understand. It’s not a showdown. It’s a bottom line. As this roster ages into physical and contract maturity no sensible manager can afford to give in to demands that exceed reasonableness. Fitz and Bratt’s agent apparently disagreed whether Bratt’s demand did or not. The facts have made crystal clear what the answer is.

More like “Jesper, we have traded you. Thanks for all your contributions to the Devils. We wish you good luck for the rest of your career.”

One time Conte said if he could construct a team of forwards, he would take 12 Dainius Zubruses. That's basically how I feel about a defense full of Marinos. I wish we could have him out there at all times.

Yep. Wish he was a Dainius-sized defensemen with his footspeed, but you can't have everything sometimes.

Excellent save by Schmid.  Still so many times this team refuses to get the puck out of the zone when they can.  I simply don't get it.  Also, Dougie just looks so lethargic out there.  Incredibly slow, and just a non-factory.  In fact, a liability in his own zone.  Really have to wonder if he's hurt, because I just can't see him folding like a cheap tent the way it appears.

Great play by Siegs. Stopped a breakaway.

Yep.  He's dialed in, I love it.  Him, Luke, and Marino have been great.  Graves has been OK.  Sevs and Dougie not so much. If they can round out there game, we should be solid defensively here to finish the game and allow the team to concentrate on scoring the next goal.
