My tops would be Nemec by a mile, then Filmon, Misyul, Squires, Clarke, then Stillman by a mile(at the bottom). I can't see Clarke coming anywhere close to cracking an NHL roster, let alone Stillman. The placement of the 40th anniversary logo on the shoulder last season still comes across to me as they just couldn't get a deal done with anyone last season in terms of money or whatever. That seems like a good enough reason to believe that one is coming shortly. Perhaps they didn't want to fvck up the jersey with the 40 year patch. Guess the Devils saw enough of both. Nemec was definitely the best Devil here by far...can't wait for this kid to play with the big club. Obviously not like this particular batch of kids was chock full of high-end talent, but based on what I saw in this very limited sample, not much finish there. I think the fact that Miller's here to begin with leads me to believe that Nemec is REALLY going to have to force his way into the immediate picture. I can see him getting a look later in the season (say December), assuming Miller's healthy...should Miller get hurt, maybe we see Nemec much sooner. But Fitz clearly does not want to rush this kid, and is willing to be very patient; fortunately the Devils are in a position where they can afford to do just that. Good news is that unless there's a lot of injuries on D, hard to imagine Brendan Smith is going to play in nearly as many games as he did last season. Looking forward to seeing if Bahl can stick for the entire season...he really progressed nicely in 2022-23. I had just about written him off.
