Never seen them actively promote anything like this before but in the season ticket holder email they just sent out it says...

"Resell up to 10 games"

So all of a sudden we are good again and you can't sell more than 10 games?

It won't affect me cause I don't miss that many but I think it's quite ridiculous. Even with the team playing well they really should be more specific about it. The vast majority of games I do sell are almost always for face value. Games being sold for face value shouldn't count against this number.

Great idea from a safety perspective. Crossing Market/21 is sometimes like playing frogger. On dark rainy nights I hate the idea of having to cross Newark streets.

On the topic of tickets for the upcoming season, I still haven’t heard anything on season ticket sales. I really hope they’ve sold a ton. There are no more excuses for games with lousy attendance.

Just a quick glance at our first two home games shows a lot of individual seats to be had, almost typical of last year. Not a good sign of that’s any indication.

I noticed new paper towel holders in the bathrooms but they cheaped out and didn't buy automatic ones

They sent an email about arena upgrades too...

New Spaces

Fans will also experience upgrades to multiple entertaining spaces throughout the arena.

The Foundry Bar

The Foundry Bar is a new East Concourse bar that will serve as a social gathering area, reflecting the atmospheres of a beer garden and pub.

Prudential Lounge

Fans will also experience upgrades to multiple entertaining spaces throughout the arena. The new Prudential Lounge will serve as an elevated, flexible hospitality space located adjacent to Mulberry Street that visually ties in the surrounding city and arena, with access provided to assigned premium ticket members. The space will feature design elements inspired by the Red Oak tree, the official tree of the state of New Jersey.

Fanatics Team Store

In addition to the Devils Den team store, an additional Fanatics Team Store will be upgraded and relocated to the Main Concourse at the top of the M&M's Tower staircase (previously the Prospect Playground).

Upgraded Technology

The arena will also upgrade its technological infrastructure, supported by new 5G internet, in partnership with Verizon, and the installation of Lightpath’s all-fiber products and services. Besides network and the installation of wi-fi, Verizon will also implement, with Levy, cashless and touchless purchasing processes for ease of sale. These changes will take effect in the early stages of the 2023-24 season.

Never understood why there was ever the thought/ desire to go cashless.. this is stupid. So, if someone doesn’t have a credit card and all they have is cash they can’t make a purchase? That’s ridiculous.

I fvcking HATE the cashless sh!t. It’s ridiculous. Cash is and will always be king.

So get THIS...

My daughter is now a sophomore at North Hunterdon; for the Homecoming game (played last Friday), the school decided to have food trucks there, and made a big deal about it (this was a first, which they made it a point to let everyone know).  So I drop off my kid and a good friend of hers, and give her some cash...

10 mins later (via text):  "Dad, the trucks only take CREDIT CARDS!"

This was a HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME FOR fvck'S SAKE!  Did the school actually think a bunch of 14-17 year olds were going to have friggin' credit cards on them?!  Some of the stupidest sh!t I ever heard.

Like, that makes NO SENSE. It’s CHEAPER to accept cash. Why, if you’re a business, would you wanna pay all those transaction fees?!?! ACCEPT CASH.

You can change cash over to a card if you don't have one...

"For guests needing to convert cash to a card, our Reverse ATM kiosks with $0 transactional fees* are available by sections 1, 14, 125 and inside the Box Office Lobby.

* Use of Reverse ATM services are subject to ReadyCARD Visa Prepaid Card Terms & Conditions, provided at each Reverse ATM kiosk location. "

The reason they do it is so they don't have to deal with people counting the cash, exchanging the cash, stealing the cash and sending it off to the bank. This is the main reason why so many people are switching to card only.

It also feels like a matter of when not if that cash is just gone completely from everywhere.

Personally I never carry more than $100 cash on me. I love using a credit card cause of the cash back feature for earning points. I earn free money back for doing absolutely nothing. I do pay my credit card in full though every month so I'm not paying interest and I wouldn't touch most credit cards if I wasn't.

would actually have guessed most kids do have some sort of card these days especially with it being as easy as using wallets on phones.

You can either make her an authorized user on your credit card account which will give her a card in her name but you'll see everything that gets charged or which might be easier to start out with, get her a debit card with her own account and then you can just transfer money on a per needs basis so she can't over spend more than you put in there. Then once you're confident she's good with it switch to the authorized credit card user on your account.

I mean I’m the same exact way, I never carry much cash at all if any.. sh!t, I think there’s a whole $7 in my wallet right now. I use a card for every single thing, just for the reason of earning cash back etc. however, not accepting cash is fvcking ridiculous. Having to put cash into a “ reverse atm” even more fvcking ridiculous.

Boom. Exactly. Use a card all you want, I use my debit card all the time. But NOT ACCEPTING cash is fvcking dumb. Period, full stop. Oh you don’t wanna count money or bring it to the bank? Tough sh!t. Business was done for 200 years like that. Technology makes us lazy.

Couldn’t express my feelings on this any better. Governments way of tracking every dollar you take in and spend.
