This team cannot get out of its own way where injuries are concerned.

I wonder if some of this is just over-reporting. I mean, how often do players leave the ice during practice, and are other teams reporters commenting on every little thing?  I'm only interested and want to know if it's something major and he's actually injured.  Maybe the guy was constipated and the trainer was giving him a laxative. I don't need to know that lol.

Killing penalties does tend to give players the runs so maybe you’re on to something lol

If playing on a line with Jack can’t get Timo going nothing will.

I like these forward lines a lot. Love McLeod and Bastian together and Lazar seems like a good fit with them.  Seems like it has all the makings of Crash Line 2.0.

Also agree Timo with Hughes should produce at stupid rates. Bratt and Nico should be fine, and Palat with them is gravy.

The only thing I don’t like here is Holtz has played his best hockey with McLeod.

Bastian hasn’t had it thus far this season, almost at all. Crash Line 2.0 could work with McLeod/Lazar/Holtz.

Nate looks like he did in Seattle that got him waived.

But at least he isn’t Tierney…

I like Bastian, always have, and was glad to see him come back without having to give up so much as a draft pick...

BUT, yeah, right now he's playing like the kind of guy that you buy out at season's end (especially since the dead hit isn't much, and of course, you wind up saving some money in that first buyout season).  Hopefully he gets it going.

he'll i'd keep him just so we don't have the dead money, let Tierney walk and keep Nosek if he ever gets healthy and has a good look.

then again, maybe Foote getting himself healthy pushes Bastian out, too.

That's our full roster for like the first time. Lets see how our best handle the bruins

Yeah, full lineup of healthy forwards.

Defense is what it is

Schmid tonight?

I'm guessing the Devils probably don't cut Bastian, unless he goes full Kuokannen...he still has plenty of time this season to get it going.  Like I said, I'm rooting for that...and yeah, no real reason to keep Tierney beyond this season.  Just sucks that he's had to play in as many games as he has.

Bastian is a glue guy. I would only support trading him to send a message but the team is in need of the depth right now. If Foote was available it would be easier but I haven't heard a damn thing about him in months.

Which one? lol

I still find it so funny we have both "Feet"

Just saw an article on fb that fitz is inquiring about Gibson again, not sure I’m a fan of that if true. Anaheim i believe is playing the three metro teams starting this week.

I don't get that.  Just judging by Gibson's body of work over the past three seasons and this one, is he really that major of an improvement over VV?  Not to mention there's three more seasons of Gibson at a $6.4 million cap hit (of course Anaheim will be asked to absorb some of that).  I'm guessing VV's gotta be going the other way in such a deal (with other assets).

Just sucks that the market for real upgrades is damn near non-existent.  It's basically bring in another guy with question marks and just hope that it somehow works out.

If we were shipping vv back the other way in almost some type of even swap I’d absolutely be on board to shake things up with a new face in a new environment.. if that were the case it’s well worth trying, can’t get much worse than what we have but wouldn’t be willing to give up assets to bring this guy in hoping that he’s going to be an upgrade.
