Website slowness

We had a large influx of Chinese webbots scraping the website in addition to a backup that got hung up by the large resource usage. I was able to block the IP range of that bot, as I don't think much hockey is watched there.

The backup should finish soon and the site will improve (I hope).

Thanks and lets go Fitz!

Seems blocking the IP has resulted in a flood from other IP ranges, we might be getting Denial of service attacks now. Sigh

Who would ddos our little corner of the internet?

I turned on a cache system to relieve some of the traffic stress. Let me know if you seeing any oddities (images that don't load or failed page styles, etc)>

Thanks

Things have been fine for me since the afternoon. Thanks DM.

Investigating - We are currently experiencing DNS timeouts from Public DNS resolvers i.e. GoogleDNS and CloudflareDNS , which appear to be causing slowness on our client's site. Our team is actively investigating the issue and working diligently to resolve it. We regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
