Ocean's Twelve

I just got back from it. I liked it but did not consider as good as the first. The first gets like an A+ from me and this one gets like an A-. Still very good.

Now here is the question, who was the 12th Ocean? We actually can't discuss it yet since so many people didn't see it but I think you can make arguements for 3 different people. I guess if you really wanna discuss it we can do it on PM.

It can't top the first one. The first one was all about planning the greatest heist in the world. This one was them getting the job done on such short notice. They proved that they are the best in the world.

The plot was harder to follow. But it was a lot funnier than the first one.

I'm very critical about it cause the first one is my all-time favorite movie. I know going in that this one wasn't going to be as good, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I want to see it again just to understand it more.

Defeinitely thought oceans 11 was better.. but this was still good. I liked all the planning in the first.

I too want to know everyones opinions on the 12th ocean. I assumed it was Julia Roberts like the rest of the world, but after seeing the movie it seeme dlike it should have been called Oceans 15.

This movie is going to be (pardon the pun) criminally misunderstood.

It's a satire on celebrity, heist movies and the actors themselves. And a wicked one at that. (Julia Roberts is one hell of a sport.) In fact, the entire mano y mano battle between Clooney's crew and The Night Fox (or whatever he was) could be seen as a Soderbergh vs. style-over-substance filmmaking.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. I tend to do that (damn film minor!)

There's plenty of other ways to look at it. You can look at it as them wanting to make a COMPLETELY style heist. Like in the first one, they just had them get the job done. They had time to plan it out to perfection. My guess is that in this movie they showed the rushed side of the crew. They were rushed to get to the money, instead of having a exact plan. They showed that while under the gun (literally) they are still the best in the world.

They could also be showing the confidence and creativity of the crew. Confidence they can get the job done and creativity like the one Matt Damon pulled (won't give it away).

This, like many other recent movies, is an artistic film. It reminds me of recent Focus Pictures movies (like Lost in Translation and Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind). How the plot is kinda hard to follow (like Eternal Sunshine) and how it cuts out a lot of the bullsh!t (like Lost in Translation).

But above all, it's a fun movie. Everyone loves this crew, and watching them is just fun inside itself.

It's just a really good movie. Not Ocean's Eleven good, but as far as sequels go, it ranks up there.

It is a really good movie.

I thought the first one was too predictable. It was fun watching them pull it off but you just knew they were going to do it.

This one was so different. I loved that. It wasn't just a hear is the plan now lets execute it and have some laughs a long the way. This one had so many plot turns and twists and it was really funny. Thats why I liked it better.
