Game Thread: Albany River Rats Vs. Hershey Bears

This was a disappointing game. The Rats seemed to play well, especially during the first half of the game, but they couldn't hold off the hard-charging Bears.

I don't want to say anything bad about Scott Clemmensen, and I'm not saying the loss was his fault, but I wonder if the result would have been different if Ahonen played this game. I know the organization has always rotated the goalies, but I don't think it was right to sit Ari down after he earned the shutout last night.

I only heard the 3rd and the OT of this game, but it sounded like the Rats had a pretty good game. And only 1 penalty called against them, so maybe they're learning discipline?

The booster club trip prices include your share of the bus rental fee, game tickets, and hotel rooms (if it's an overnight trip)...prices are the same for everyone on a day trip, but overnights vary as to how many people you want in a room.

Well the back-to-back thing made it kind of tricky, afternoon game after a night game. OTOH, the Rats' next game isn't till Friday, so if there was ever a time to do it, oh well.

No suprise that ulmer scored 6 game goal streak? He's been playing like a man possesed. Carrying the puck like a beast over the blueline, shoving his way to the net, using those soft hands, etc. He's been very strong. I don't see him as an NHL player, but over the past 2 weeks every time i've seen teh bears its either been ulmer or budaj as their best player

If I were Albany I would give the Ball to Ahonen and let him run with it. Ahonen is a little more valuable to the future of our team then Clemmensen. Ahonen is the one we are spending money on developing and I don't agree with this decision. You have to go with the hot hand and Ahonen was certainly that.
