NJDevs4978
Oy, my team's off to a REAL great start, 3-31 combined offensively and Foulke gives it up to JETER who happens to be on red's team My starting pitching better be lights out this week EDIT: So much for that, Smoltz down 5-0 to the Marlins after he'd been DOMINANT in the Spring and Schmidt down 2-0 to the punchless Dodgers Oh well if I'm gonna lose might as well lose big, get a lot of the sucky play out in one week, I still think there's a lot of good baseball in my team. Weekes Head
Grreeaaat....look at the player news for my utility guy: Apr 5 The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Reds 2B Ryan Freel was arrested and charged Monday, April 4, with drunken driving, careless driving and having an open container in a motor vehicle. He was released on $500 bond in Newport, Ky., just across the Ohio River, which separates Cincinnati and Kentucky. The Reds won their season opener in dramatic fashion earlier in the day. NJDevs4978
I almost forgot about that lol, I heard it on the radio before. He wasn't gonna play anyway unless/until they benched Jimenez or someone got hurt.

devilsrule33
Well my second pick started off the season very well going 4/5 with 3 RBIs. My second pick being Delgado.
NJDevs4978
That's almost as many hits as my entire TEAM has so far (5-41 and counting)
devilsrule33
Miguel Batista is looking good as a closer so far. He got his second save tonight. Edited April 6, 2005 by devilsrule33
Derek21
Andy Pettite with a well pitched 6 inning 1 run day for the win. Nice. Whoever has Bobby Crosby lost him for 5-6 weeks.

NJDevs4978
Poor Clown, he benched him Sucks when that happens lol, usually it happens to me far more when I play matchups instead of just going with the best players.
PeteyNice
What is going on with Joe Randa? Another HR and 6 RBI today as the Reds took down the Mets again.
NJDevs4978
I didn't even watch tonight, guess I didn't miss much Mr. Glavine got smoked yet again, but actually Randa only got two ribbies against him. Seems Mr. Randa had a GRAND SLAM off the immortal Mike DeJean who was just handed a huge contract and a guaranteed spot in the pen based on all of a dozen or so appearances last year

And I refuse to put him into my lineup for the games this weekend, otherwise he will go 0-9 and Overbay will hit 3 HR's...Im $crewed! NJDevs4978
Guess it doesn't matter what I do with my lineup this week, my team's just having a BAD week. Manny, Texiera and Huff COMBINED have fewer hits than Wilkerson And Smoltz and Mulder both got bombed in their first start although of course Smoltz will pitch like a two-hitter against the Mets Sunday and when I'm so far behind red it won't matter anyway EDIT: Oh and Foulke sucks this week too...my three closers can't outsave red's ONE to this point Edited April 9, 2005 by Hasan4978
devilsrule33
The Blue Jays did everything in the 9th except tie the game. Foulke and the Sox got lucky in that one.
Devils731
Here is a good ratio: Baez - TB. 3.2 IP / 2 Wins. If he can keep that up he'll have like 60 wins this season.
Weekes Head
Ugh, my pitchers are killing me today...Westbrook goes and throws a gem in his first start, then doesn't even last more than two innings in his next! Doesn't help that Wells had another poor start. I still have faith in him though, hopefully it's just a slow start and he'll pick it up. At least my Orioles (Lopez and Tejada) did pretty well today against the Yanks.
NJDevs4978
Guess that wasn't the end of your pitchers killing you, now Silva's out to the All-Star break.

'7'
my hitting has been good, my pitching has been absolutely atrocious. Maddux looks bad and Pavano took one off the noggin today.
NJDevs4978
Holy crap, Smoltz and Schmidt might have just stolen an opening week tie for me (at least if my ERA calculations are correct and Takatsu doesn't somehow get four strikeouts tonight) Edited April 10, 2005 by Hasan4978
