Devils731
Bruins, why not point out where he is wrong instead of just throwing out an insult? Seems like maybe you can't refute what is said but still want to stubbornly be wrong so you'll just insult and then probably later claim how its all some big "misunderstanding" You claim Tri doesn't know what he is talking about but you're the one who was saying Burke stole Bertuzzi and made him a star and you've already been shown wrong there. Jas0nMacIsaac
Depends what Burke wants for it. If its our first round pick and Bicek...maybe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you insane? It will cost our 1st plus a player like Gomez to make Burke want to make that trade. Bicek is Waiver material. I think you should take a long look at yourself in the mirror. The only time you ever have anything to say to me, is when you feel this supreme need to insult me by pointing out a mistake i make. I figure you guys are sick of my "nitpicking". As tri referred to it, so i'd save everybody the long back and forth. Because he is quite stubborn himself and frequently talks off about situations he doesn't know about. He is knowledgeable about hockey, but only in certain extents. But a lot of times, without watching a team or certain players, he will go by stats and what he hears in papers instead of solid watching the team/player and mouth off like he knows a lot about the subject. Then he'll completely miss the point of an argument you try to make and such forth. I can find quite a nice amount of arguments where he does this. burke still made bert into a star...he didn't make the trade but he made it last.... Triumph
A general manager doesn't make anyone into a star. He might get the necessary pieces around him. Burke stuck with Bertuzzi, for that I give him credit, but then again what choice did he have? As usual, bruins, you pick the absolute wrong thread to take your stand. You've already been shown to be completely incorrect about the keystone to your argument, now you're going to call me out for 'mouthing off a lot about something I know nothing about'? I like your passion, and I thank the Internet gods that my earliest posts on hockey message boards aren't saved because a lot of them were atrocious, but think before you post. NJayDevil
With a name "Jack Johnson", this guy has got to be good! There isn't much the Devs can offer. No way will Parise, Martin, Hale, Sugs be moved.
MissionHockey
Getting the 2nd overal pick would require the Devils to give up some of their gems. Most of all meaning Gomez, and the Devils absolutely can not part with him at this point in time. If they are to give up anything like that it better be for the 1st overal pick. MantaRay
I was just using Bicek as an example of type of spare part that I WOULD give to Burke for the #2 pick. Not that Burke would take it. My point was that I wouldn't destroy the fabric of the team by giving up Gomez, Madden, White or Brylin for the pick. SC Devils fan: I accept your challenge. Jack Johnson sounds like a good replacement for Scott Stevens funny I'm not fond of the name Scott (my whiney cousin who had to have Carnation instant breakfast or starve when they visited ) nor am I fond of the name Stevens (a Stevens had a crush on me so I rued the day I may have ended up settling on being Jane Stevens why is it when one guy likes you NO ONE else will? I was 14 what do you want from me?) but I really am fond of Scott Stevens - it's adorable
