twistedwrister
Just curious to see if anyone else heard about this or saw this, as it was one of the funnier things ive heard revently. After being down 5-1 to philly, pittsburgh scored 4 goals to tie the game up. The tying goal was Maxim Talbot's first career goal and it came from center ice. How did this happen you ask, lets ask the flyer goalie himself. The Penguins, who fell behind 5-1 early in the second period, tied it when Talbot, after winning a faceoff, flicked a shot from beyond centre ice that bounced off unaware goaltender Antero Niittymaki and in for his first career goal. Talbot said he was just dumping the puck into Philadelphia's zone for a line change. "I turned around ready to change and the guys were like, 'It's in! It's in!" Talbot said. Niittymaki said he was watching a replay on the video screen and didn't see the shot. "It was a stupid mistake," he said. "It won't happen again." Im sorry but to be an NHL netminder and allow a game tying goal like that to complete a 4 goal goal breakdown is terrible. And also hysterical cause it happend to philly. David Puddy
That was a crazy freaking save. The quote in my signature doesn't even apply since it took that weird bounce. Much respect.
Eztarget
But we still won, haha! I'm sure EVERY goalie gives one like that up in their career. I actually think it was funny as hell he was watching a replay of a sick Forsberg move.
