Devils Resign Defenseman Tommy Albelin

On Tuesday, December 20, 2005, the New Jersey Devils announced the re-signing of defenseman Tommy Albelin. Albelin, a member of both the 1995 and 2003 New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Championship teams, will wear his previous sweater no. 6.

Albelin, who played a total of 11 seasons with the Devils, posted 27 goals, 119 assists for a total of 146 points while with the team.

Defenseman Dan McGillis, who previously wore no. 6, will wear no. 2.

Also today, New Jersey recalled right wing Cam Janssen from Albany (AHL), while re-assigning right wing Barry Tallackson to Albany.
