SueNJ97
If you have a lot of free time and want to read a HILARIOUS thread!! hahahahahahahahhaha!!!!!LOL!!!! OK, I knew it was going to be something from FlyerPhans, I just knew it. How can fans of a team that has Forsberg ( Ol' FLOPPY himself) on the roster accuse any other team of diving? Ess-plain that to me!!!!
bruins4777
yes i know what butterfly goalies do. it just doesnt make sense to me to go down in the butterfly on a shot 58 feet out. huet could've used better judgement on that shot. what is he supposed to do? randomly stand up? that's so awkward and ineffective. Every butterfly goaltender, most goaltenders in general for that matter, will go down to cover the bottom of the net and control the rebound. if it goes high you use your hands to control the shot. how the hell was huet supposed to know his own dman would deflect it? to be fair, the sabres REALLY do dive a lot, not avalanche or canucks amount, but still very substantial. derek roy is quite the flopper. the rat afinigenov likes to taste air quite a bit as well. the sabres get away with a lot of hooking as well. the flyers didn't deserve to win this series, but it's worth pointing out. brylin18
pardon me, i must have forgot that huet had a congenital defect where he was born WITHOUT A LEFT SHOULDER. a left shoulder sure would've come in handy in that particular instance. and STANDING UP also would've come in handy in that particular instance. basically, all i care about that goal is brodeur stops that shot. bruins4777
sure, there's no convincing you. you do realize, you could point out every single goal ever and say "if the goalie would have played it THIS WAY" he could have stopped it. effectively, every goal ever is soft. brylin18
so just because huet plays the butterfly style means he should be forgiven for giving up a goal over the shoulder from a shot 58 feet out along the boards?
bruins4777
that was deflected...by his own man, not his fault
Satans Hockey
Hey LOTCB I might have some pics you will like ill post them here in a bit, I went to the game tonight.
Derek21
Oh what a night to be a Sabres fan!!! Do not mind me now...had a few too mayn basss ales and Guiness tonight...oh yeah!!!! Derek21 was with me at the bar to enjoy this $laughterfest...man what a way to come out in the 1st period...unreal!!! How about this for a stat? Last 2 Game 6's between Buffalo and Philly: Buffalo has outscored the Cryers 15-1!!! Now it is onto Ottawa...show yourself Old Man Hasek!!! Good thing I drove. You were in rare form tonight. That was a disgrace by the Flyers. I agree with bruins. Esche only gave up one bad goal to Kotalik. Everything else was just blown coverages and odd-man rushes. It was a pathetic display by a team which gave up. Buffalo's speed was just too much. I even felt bad for some of the Flyer fans. They're not all off the wall. I'd rather get swept than see my team take it on the chin like that at home. It's less painless. bruins, butterfly or no butterfly, Huet has to stop that shot. I don't care what it deflected off. P.S. Cam Ward made a sick save in the third. He was awesome. Not sure what that means. Here are my picks: Devils in 6- experience wins out Senators in 7- shapes up as an awesome series but I think Ottawa edges them (possible OT in Game 7)
annabelle
as Nelson from the simpsons would say..."HAha!!" Flyers lose, so much class shown by the Filthy fans booing theior goalie..sure i was laughing when he skated off at breakneck speed and threw a fit in the hall, but then again i'm not a flyer fan..... Right on to Carolina eliminating the Blue blanc rouge,,,

Derek, in case you didn't realize it, they hate Grier the most because he dared to touch, no, BREATHE on Forsberg. Actually, he played a physical game against Ol' Floppy. You know, the one they kept whining they wanted to see. Just not against their own team.
Devilish34
WOW what a game LOL I stayed to the very end and there was only a handful of fans still in their seats. Most were at the bar gettin hammered. I'm not a big Esche fan but they just bailed on him. That team just flat outbailed after the first goal. But hey FORE!!!

They were mad cause in...game 2? or was it game 1? grier hit forseberg and forseberg did his signature fake injury of the shoulder and limped around. there was no call. hatcher stepped in and basically owned grier.
