Rock
Bruce better be a Devils fan. Isn't one of his song lines from Jungleland "The Rangers had a homecoming in Harlem late last night." ?
langsgirl
Vanderbeek is on with Laughling now... Bruce Springsteen was at the game tonight. Apparently. Tom Chorske stinks!... AEG Entertainment to get concerts/stuff in the new building (nothing new). Says he's on time. All Three sides of brick work done. Half of glass work done. Starting to work on entry-glass cylinders. Says to call up to get a meeting for the Devils Marketing Center, and go down and look out at the constrcution site (visit it actually, if the weather is good enough)...see the video, every piece of inventory that will go in the building. I wish I could listen again and get that phone number. Seems like fun. More Newark FUN! Talk about walking around the construction site giving away Prudential Center sweaters and Devils stuff to the workers that stuff which will say..."I helped build Prudential Center." Safety...Vanderbeek listens to issues and tries to educate and separating fact from fiction. Some stuff is not true what you hear. Newark is doing great roadwork, adn they are expanding road work and parklands, they hired FBI guy to deal with security, which will be bar-none. "as good as it gets". He thinks once people come down, they'll fall in love. "Nobody has left that hasn't come back. Just come and see and fell for yourselves". Final draft for seats was just finihsed, and ticket info is going out imminently. 973-237-9100 --- i think... or 273 ... just memory from the ride home.. but i wasnt trying to remember it.. i just think that was it If its not then sorry
Rock
In case any were wondering, Jannsen was not a big influence on the game 2 shifts for 1:53. Edited February 7, 2007 by Rock
SatansDevils
Big win by the Devils tonite! Finally beating Henry in a shootout! Nice to see the Rangers falling deeper and deeper out of the playoff race!
sundstrom
i'm surprised that nobody is mentioning how tired marty looked. the jagr goal was really a case of marty being slow to recover. that was what i noticed tonight. whenever marty went down to make a save, he had no spring to get back up or into position. even chico mentioned that he was exhausted. this is really where you see the lack of rest affecting him. now obviously, he's going to play every game against NYR, but a break once every 2 or 3 weeks is not uncalled for. Devils731
Marty was getting run most of the night and hurt himself midway through the game. I think that had more to do with his play than anything else.
SatansDevils
I don't think it was marty being tired. He was out of position and Jagr got a lucky shot off of Marty and it went into the net. Marty was banged around a few times once again and the refs just let it go. There was goaltending interference a few times and no call made. It looked like the game and the refs had the game tilted in the Rangers favor and they still couldn't beat the Devils.

NJDevs4978
I do think Marty's tired but don't think that really had much to do with the second goal, that was more a good play by Jagr than a bad goal and Marty did play fairly well after that awful first goal. I'd love to see Clemmensen-Dunham Thursday but doubt that'll be the case on either end In any case, three sweeeet wins in a row

Satans Hockey
Marty had 2 days rest...plus he is the reason we won tonight, he kept us in this game which could have been ugly and didn't give up a goal in the skills contest.
SatansDevils
Marty will play on Thursday vs. the Islanders. These are important points for the Devils. Marty will probably have the day off tomorrow to rest. You will see Clemmensen vs. a team that is out of our division I believe. Avery is a bum and he sucks. I was hoping Janssen beat the piss out of him tonight.
metallidevils
hahaha, derek didnt even watch the game, wtf?
Steadevils
I've never said this before I've always said let Marty play if he wants to play..But looking ahead at the schedule I am real worried about when Clemmy can get a game...I'd like to see us put some faith in Clemmy (faith which i personally have) in a game where it would seem like Marty should play. But for now FVCK THAT great win against the fvcking Rags, nothing better then seeing all those pvssies lose a game and fall back farther. I'm more excited about this Devils team then I have in a while. The great devils season continues, and I can't wait to see what this team can do in the long run

Don
What the hell was up with Chico and Doc? Are they looking to bed Avery? Holy crap that was an embarrassment.... I wanted to turn the game off rather than listen to them fawn over this guy any more. By far the most difficult game to watch on FSNY this year. Devils731
I know the game went well since some Rangers fans are focusing on the "dirty" hit by Luko, how boring the game was, and the attendance. Brings a smile to my face. Edited February 7, 2007 by Devils731
