LA03
As if I need a reason to love Parise more I managed to catch the first two periods, the tying goal, and some of the shootout during the commericials of Grey's but I had to endure my roommates yelling at me to change it back to Grey's because God forbid you miss a second. And I thought the powerplay looked AWFUL tonight and some of the passing was really off at times, in my opinion. If Gomez leaves we're definitely going to miss him---he's speed and stickhandling is ridiculous.

MadDog2020
If you guys wanna laugh your asses off, go check out the HF Rangers board. These idiots are convinced there is an officiating conspiracy against the Rangers. The levels of anger and bitterness on that board right now are something that should make every Devils fan smile from ear to ear!!
LA03
HEY GREY'S WAS HEAVY STUFF TONIGHT, MAAAAN! Haha. Why yes it was. And I love Grey's (but they DO repeat it tomorrow night and we can tape it then and I never get to watch the Devils on TV) but I don't really like Meredith that much so I mostly didn't care about her situation.... I much prefer Addison, Alex, and Christina.

LA03
Were you hoping she bit the bucket? I wouldn't really care if she died, but the thing that bothered me is that you knew they weren't going to kill her off. She's the main character so I just couldn't get all emotionally involved in the story line. Plus she's annoying. And McDreamy has kind of lost his appeal to me and they're just boring together. 94Obsession
Just got back from tonights game. When I was walking to my seat before the game, I saw a Devils fan with the old Devils Christmas jersey on, and just said to him as I passed by "nice jersey". To which he responded "thanks bro". Whenever I see those jerseys I think of the year 1992 for some reason. Do you think they should release a Vintage Devils jersey on the CCM Vintage line? Although i've seen the Mitchell And Ness ones around. Just wondering. Anyway, on to the game. I felt the Rangers played a great first period, then as usual, didn't go for the kill, where as if it was the Devils, they would've put the game away. Which is one of the reasons why the Devils are who they are and on a different level than the Rangers. The Devils could dress a bunch of 4th Liners and they'd still win. Anyone ever notice that the Devils European players sacrifice their East/West game and play a North/South style? And yet i'm stuck with the $hitty European play by some of the Rangers players. With their $hitty pulling up, and their cocka crapola figure 8's instead of shooting the puck. And after tonight, since Jagr didn't elect to shoot again in the Shootout, as far as i'm concerned, the "C" on his chest doesn't stand for "Captain", no no, as far as i'm concerned, to quote someone from the radio tonight, it stands for "COWARD" . Because that's what I get from this business about not wanting to shoot. They oughta take that "C" and plant it on Jed Ortmeyer. If half of the Rangers team or the Europeans on them played with some of the DESIRE, HEART, PASSION, and some DESPERATION the way this kid plays, then I wouldn't be posting this. Not saying I would choose Ortmeyer as my 1st choice as the next Captain. Just saying. Could you imagine captains such as Clarke, Sakic, Lemieux, Modano, Messier, Elias not wanting to shoot? Give me a break. Anyway, I could complain about some of the calls made, but i'm not here for that. The Rangers had their chances, and you know what? They didn't take advantage of them. So yeah... I want the Rangers to become sellers now, you can take Michael "KAZOO" Nylander, and you could take Jaromir "COWARD" Jagr, take their style of play, take them and trade them and get them the hell outta here. Because the Rangers team needs a facelift. Why not? Get back what you can for them. I'm sure they could something good back. You're all welcome to post your thoughts, opinions, or whether or not you disagree with me on this. Thanks for letting me rant. Devils731
Yes, I am loving the Ranger boards right now. Marty is a diver Devils always get lucky League conspires to call less penalties on the Devils Rafalski's big elbow(that you could see wasn't an elbow on replay and just Avery going down) Glad Devils fans got beat up at the game

Oh I heard a lot of that at the arena too, no surprise there, Ranger fans complain about the officiating every game against the Devils. Now we did get a couple of real lucky breaks on the calls (that our PP couldn't take advantage of anyway) but I don't want to hear it from them considering Messier and Gretzky got every call known to man from like '93-99 against us. BTW I was surprised to see a number of empty seats throughout the arena, especially when they damn near sold out our building the other night. I think there were as many Rangers fans at MSG as there were at CAA Tuesday Did some of them give up after that game? NJDevs4978
Rags have a habit of giving up leads and losing games. There is this game, the game against Detroit, and there was a game against Tampa where Rags blew leads and lost these games in regulation without getting any points. They seem to have a problem protecting leads or adding to thier lead.
skeeter
We all know Chico is a bit of a lame-brain, but he was off his meds tonight. I've never in my life heard so many stupid nonsensical statements and mistakes in my life. At one point he said Shanahan had the puck. The best was when talking about one of the Rangers... "He's having his best season of the year." Is he? Edited February 23, 2007 by skeeter

The guy was the same way in Washington as Captain, why would he be any different in New York? He's a great player but he isn't a team leader. He gets frustrated way to easily, for example look at Game 1 of the playoffs last year where Pandolfo got under his skin and Jagr tried to go after him and then tried to go after Gomez and ended up separating his shoulder. Pandolfo and the Devils are still under his skin today. Like I said before he's not captain material he's great if you just let him play and don't give him any leadership. I said when they Rangers named him captain that it was a mistake. Anyways Shannahan has been the real leader of that team and when he went down so did any hope the Rangers had of making the playoffs. It's not that i'm surprised. It's just that it's mind boggling. And yes, from day one they named him Captain, I knew it was the wrong move. I wanted Shanahan to be the Captain. But that wouldn't have looked right when Jagr was there before. ESPECIALLY coming off last seasons success. So I think they had no choice. devilsfan26
Jagr's gotta be the worst captain in the NHL. What kind of captain doesn't go in the shootout because there's too much pressure? Boy am I glad I'm not a Rangers fan, I would go crazy.

sandman441
I'm convinced that you are not allowed to be a Devils fan on that stupid site. It could be a good site but there are way too many rules. I actually haven't been warned on any of my posts in the hockey forum. I've made a few sarcastic responses though that could be because of the Gomez stuff I bring in alot of people to their site I could be wrong though. hattrick
But man I really thought they were going to spit the bit when Elias and Gomez couldn't score on a two-on-zero. This team just wills its way to win night after night. And that's not to say they don't have talent, they do - but it's also combined with a ton of heart. Yup. I thought the Devils would of packed it in then, but this team has a lot of character. They never give up. They keep coming at you regardless of the situation.
