officerfarva
http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=7205 29. NEW JERSEY: As clearly pointed out in this space, the Devils have a core group of loyal supporters, but an otherwise lethargic fan base that is chalk full of lame excuses for not attending games at Continental Airlines Arena. Devils' fans are, however, among the most loyal HockeyBuzz readers, breathlessly waiting by their computers for the latest mention of their team. But, no club in the NHL gets ripped off more spectacularly by its followers. The Devils have been the league's model franchise on the ice for years, but few people seem to care. The new Prudential Center in Newark will be a big draw while it remains a novelty. After that...?

HellOnICE
The Ranger base is so overstated. Put them not in the middle of the corporate wonderland that is the small-sized garden, and they would draw less. I hate these writers who do absolutely no research and write and write and write garbage.

NJDevs4978
Admit it OF, you are Howard Berger. I called this one in another thread But yeah it seems pretty obvious if he's not that person he's at least friends with or related to him since he's posted THREE different pieces all bashing the Devil attendance in the last day by the same author. '7'
The Devils don't have a huge fan base, but it's certainly larger than Florida, Anaheim, Tampa, Washington, Carolina, Columbus Atlanta, and Phoenix. Boston at 21 is ridiculous, they have a top 10 fan base that stretches from Connecticut up to the tip of Maine, it's an original 6 franchise! On the bright side, that's how we know he has no credibility... he's an Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate)-lover.

Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate) was actually on pre game the other day on Xm, and was complimenting the Devils on how many kids he always sees at games, and that hte base that started growing in the mid 90s is getting older and the younger kids are moving up, and in a few years, hopefully will dominate the fan base. Unfortunately they're moving up, and they're moving out to study and live in other states. That's why we have some great attendance games around Christmas and Thanksgiving, all the Devils fans scattered around the country come home. LizDevil30
They may go to college out of state, but they all come home again after graduation.
