parise9
Weve Got LangenBrunner, but i think it still needs work!I guess someone like Kovalchuk would be good! maybe instead of gionta for norstrom, Gionta and a draft pick for Kovalchuk would be just as good! I spoke with a big knowledgable thrashers fan and he said that we would be getting ripped off!!! He said, how many players that play on an all defense team can score 48 goals, he said he struggled this season due to Injuries!!!!! I Think Kovi would be a great deal for us, bringing us offensive power, some physical play and PP Productions! The trashers woulod never to that...but it would be nice for us
empulse27
I would prefer Lou either A) sign a defenseman like Sopel and trade Matvichuk or Oduya for a decent third line/checking forward or B) sign UFA Adam Hall or some checking forward and go into the season with 3 deep forward lines and a rotating fourth line of Viukohla, Brylin, Clarkson, Rupp, Janssen or Marshall if he's really on the team... Hoping for A)
newjerseydevils
The trashers woulod never to that...but it would be nice for us Kovalchuk has been having a lot of problems with management in atlanta, dont be surprised if he wants to leave! msweet
What does Kovlachuk make per season?
njskaguy33
What does Kovlachuk make per season? Kovalchuk makes a whopping 5.5 mil this year and 7.5 for the next two....that's Elias money and I don't think Lou would move our captain....although I would take Kovalchuk over Elias

Mitico12
I'm with Devilish - Phaneuf! Didn't Phaneuf play Juniors at Red Deer? If so, do you think Brent Sutter can sway him to come over to Jersey?
SatansDevils
Man I would love to see Kovalchuk come here to New Jersey. Possibly next off season when he becomes a UFA and the Devils have money under the salary cap to afford him. Yeah right. Lou will never get a player like Kovalchuk here. stevestevens
Kovi would be good no doubt. However id rather talk to Nashville because of all of the players theyre willing to trade.
