RowdyFan42
PS I think we should have a prudential center forum as as this place gets going it be cool to have reviews of other shows and events. This building will generate $ for the Devs that will keep them in NJ and spending right up to the cap This was discussed already. The decision was made not to go ahead with that because there won't be enough content to keep it going for a significant amount of time. What are we going to do, discuss every single event The Rock books from here to eternity? Rock-related topics of significance can probably go in OT or Heaven. section 110
It's Not Over, but god how I wish it was...I gotta agree with DevilsDude here. Thank god the first Devils game is only two days after the first Bon Jovi concert, I don't know what I was thinking, considering going to a Bon Jovi concert just to see the arena... TrentonDevils
I think Bon Jovi live would be very close to my orn personal hell. It would just need to be much hotter and have demons clawing at my flesh.
njskaguy33
Every time I hear a Bon Jovi song, I imagine a Jersey bar at around 1:30 in the morning blaring Livin' On A Prayer as 3 drunk chicks and a fat dude with a "FBI : Female Booty Investigator" t-shirt pump thier fists and sing along. They are all drinking Coors Lights, the messes are wearing matching halter tops and I'm praying the DJ suddenly collapes from a cardiac arrest. Yeeeuck... BlueSkirt
There were some new pics put up on the Devs website yesterday. Evidently at least one of the restrooms is now finished. Woot !

stevestevens
They better atleast get Oasis when they finish the cd and tour. And Radiohead if they ever stop hibernating.
ice dog
having this dreadful concert open up the arena cannot be good karma.

SatansDevils
"I was blown away, what could I say" about this news. Pretty good opener for Bon Jovi. Daughtry at least was the best AI. The others just suck.

stevestevens
Seems like a pretty bad concert. Bon Jovi is trying to be up to par with Springsteen which he will never do. Because he cant really make any good music.
HellOnICE
A couple of thigns about the Bon Jovi. He, along with Bruce, are the two LOGICAL and the ONLY two people that could've opened up this building. BJ is already on tour/gearing for the Lost Highway shows, while Bruce is recording. Therefore BJ is it. BJ is perfect to bring in 10 SOLD OUT SHOWS almost none of the bands mentioned could've done. Not only that, these BJ goers are extremely widespread in age with teens heading up to middle agers. HIs audience his huge, and these people probably have some sort of NJ pride. All of this means 10x18000=180,000 people will be introduced to the new building in all its glory wihin the first two weeks, hopefully wanting to come back asap. All the other bands mentioned should/will play this building. And BJ is hardly trying to be BRUCE, don't kid yourself. BJ knows his role in the music scene, that's why he's done so well. pattyelias
Agreed. Bon Jovi will most likely get a banner too with the 10 sold out shows. They will all be sold out that is for sure.
Gunslinger27
It's certainly not impossible that he sells out all ten shows, but maybe you should cool it with the guarantees. I mean aren't you the same guy who guaranteed Gomez would not sign with the Rangers?
stevestevens
I doubt hell sell out all of those shows. Springsteen yeah, Bon Jovi no. Why not get Springsteen to come, i mean hes playing stone pony a few times to get ready, then why not the rock?

harpua19
Simple Bon Jovi is an AEG promoted band and AEG was hired to book and manage the arena. So the AEG is going to get the big opening as it is will draw media interest.

thelastonealive
Bon Jovi is an incredible draw. He could probably fill Giants Stadium a few nights in a row too.
