Has Impact officially moved to Monday Nights yet?

Only to match it's ratings drop as fast as this board jumps off the wagon when we're trailing 1-0 at intermission :P

Looks like even Beezer gave up trying to defend TNA. Their ratings drop to sh!t and not one single post about how awesome they still are.

You were shocked by this?? :P

Try getting a life bro. When you’re pulling 10 hours plus of OT per week, and have a family on top of that, prompt levels of response time on njdevs don’t really carry that much clout on the priority list.

When iMPACT! was on Thursday Nights.. it averaged a 1.1 nielsen rating per show. (about a million people) There have been only 7 iMPACT!’s showcased thus far for 2010 (which isn’t nearly enough sampled shows to get an actual barometer.. but that’s another argument) but placating to the peanut galleries thirst of uselessness, I’ll continue.. *since TNA’s move to Monday Nights, their averaging an 0.9 nielsen rating per show. (about a million people)

Now, is there a difference between an average of a 1.1 -vs- 0.9? –Yes. Is it a considerable dip from what they were averaging on Thursday Nights? –No.

When TNA made the move to Monday’s, they took on a huge task.. standing toe-to-toe with RAW. No one (with have a brain) carried any expectation that iMPACT! would actually beat RAW by moving to Monday nights after their first 7 shows. The first year goal, is to maintain the ratings you have. (or at the very least no significant drop)

Furthermore it’s premature (not to mention asinine) to take a sample of a show, that hasn’t even been around for two whole months.. and sing; “HA-HA I TOLD YOU SO!” If after a year (sh!t, even half-a-year) iMPACT! is still pulling these numbers (or worse) have your fun. Until then.. get a hobby.

You were shocked by this?? :P

I see the move to Monday night for TNA as a no lose proposition. There is a built in wrestling audience established since Nitro vs Raw competed on Monday nights.

If anything this pushes RAW to keep producing great shows and it exposes TNA to a large sample of wrestling fans during RAW commercial breaks. It may take a year or so, but TNA will only benefit in the long run here.

They lost half their audience within 3 months of the move sir, that's a pretty big loss :P

The hype from the initial TNA Monday aside:

If they were only averaging, 1.1 on Thursday, and are now at .9 that is not half.

My point was Monday night is more fertile ground to grow a wrestling audience in the long run than Thursday night. The fact that they only lost .2 rating points head-to-head against the industry leader bodes well in the long run.

They were getting in the 1.2 and 1.3 range and now they are a .7 (when it was head to head) and this week was DOWN to a .8

the fact that the ratings are spiraling down... the new people see the same old crap and are switching back, and the core fanbase has them relegated to DVR time.... these are all bad signs... these ratings are worse then when they were on FSN

They brought rocks to a gun fight sir

While it does seem that TNA has lost its momentum, I am still inclined to disagree, sir. I think the jury is still out. Spike has nothing to lose by this move, TNA has nothing to lose and fans really having nothing to lose. Time will tell, but lets see what happens in a year-to-year analysis.

You hadn't posted in here since January. I'm sure you have been on this board since than, so I don't think its a time issue.

Now THIS would be a true "put them on the map" move in TNA.... die Bischoff.... screw Hulkafvck.... THIS is what they need do:

Paul Heyman has reportedly either been directly offered or sent strong hints that he would be welcomed on the TNA creative team. Some officials want Heyman to work alongside Vince Russo. Heyman has given the impression that he has no interest in working for TNA.

People close to the situation have been talking openly about it and some of the ECW originals are talking like they expect Heyman to come in also. Word is that there was a better chance of Heyman working with TNA a few weeks ago but the more he hears about what's going on in the company, the less interested he becomes.

This would get me to watch EVERY second of TNA, no doubt!

I would love that. Heyman did such a great jobin ECW with virtually nothing. But the problem remains: with Russo, Bishoff and the Hukster leading the charge and Spike looking at this from a more mainstream format, I doubt that Heyman will have any "impact".

Heyman's at a point that he doesn't need this job

it's apparent THEY need HIM

that means he's in a position to demand stuff

this is good for the wrestling fan!

I agree, but I think that the "heads" TNA will be hamstrung with what he can demand or do.
