SC Devs Fan
Brodeur in top form for Devils http://www.northjersey.com/sports/devils/B...for_Devils.html "I'm tired," Brodeur said, making a rare admission of fatigue in explaining his reserved demeanor after reaching the 35-win mark for the 11th consecutive season -- extending his NHL record. Even Brodeur conceded that this was one of the finer performances of his 14-season NHL career. "That's one of the good ones," he said. Biggie B
Then give him a fvckin' break already. Weekes for next game vs. 'Canes.
Devils731
So because Marty was tired after playing 2 back to back games, one of which he had to do a lot of work in, it means he is too tired to play next game? Geez, I'm pretty sure every player who played for both teams was tired after the game yesterday.
DevilMinder
If he plays like yesterday when he is tired, well then let him be tired!
Deek_1969
I think we all know we would have been blown out yesterday without Marty in net. He made some SICK saves that kept us in the game. The playoff race is super tight right now, but I think Weekes can keep us in the game. I say give Marty the night off against Carolina as we have owned them this year. And how about the Devs beating the Isle for the first time this season???? Now we need one against the Rags.
hattrick
Its not like Sutter is forcing him to play, its Marty's choice whether to play or not.

njdevil26
But Sutter can decide who plays. The choice is his.
SatansDevils
Brodeur is resting today and will play tomorrow night then has two days of rest and then be in for the Friday night game vs. Washington. There is plenty of rest between the games so we won't see Weeks.
hattrick
Yeah but if Marty goes up to Sutter and says "Coach I'm tired, gimme a break today" You really think Sutter is going to make him play?
brodeurgirl30
Well, I'm going to be selfish today and say that I want Marty to play against the Canes tomorrow night b/c I have tickets and I only get to see Marty twice a year, so I WANT HIM TO PLAY!!! He can take a break against the CAPS
yankeesjetsfan
Marty will have a couple of days off this week between games, so I can see him playing aainst Carolina without a problem. That said, I'd have no problem if he sat and Weeks played instead.
Devil Fan
I think Weekes should start tomorrow because it gives not just a break for Marty, but also allows the team to re-focus after the trade deadline.
