GDT: Pittsburgh @ Devils

And that's it. This would be so much easier to swallow if the Devils had played like this all season, but they didn't. If things continue this way we'll be looking UP and both the Flyers and the Rangers pretty soon. How fvcking sad is that?

We need more "crash" guys to pick it up. Go out there, screen the goalie, get a garbage goal, and get this team back on track. The Devils have never been fancy with offense (not since the A line, anyway), so why are they trying the cute stuff now?

I think that the Devils are getting a dose of reality here. Chico was saying how the Devil's coaching staff has tried everything to break the drought, but I say you can't perfume a pig. this is the Devil's offense we should have expected all year. just be glad they are only making us sit through like 2 or 3 weeks of it.

I hope we can find some goal scoring in the playoffs.

You have to give Pittsburgh credit - they played an excellent defensive game. I don't know how they managed to get Darryl Sydor from 2000 and Sergei Gonchar from 2003 who could actually play defense, but they did it.

New Jersey's just not getting the breaks right now. As I've said a billion times, their defense doesn't transition the puck quickly enough to spring guys on offense, so it's going to be grind-it-out type of goals by and large, or power play goals.

They played a tremendous defensive game, which will surely be overlooked - Brodeur really didn't have much work all night.
