njdss4
And that's it. This would be so much easier to swallow if the Devils had played like this all season, but they didn't. If things continue this way we'll be looking UP and both the Flyers and the Rangers pretty soon. How fvcking sad is that?
Cowutopia
We need more "crash" guys to pick it up. Go out there, screen the goalie, get a garbage goal, and get this team back on track. The Devils have never been fancy with offense (not since the A line, anyway), so why are they trying the cute stuff now? LucifersDog
Lou must fire Sutter and take over as Devils coach. This will be the only way Lou can justify his performance as GM with a team that can't score when needed. Lou is cheap and depends too much on Marty in goal. devils744
i'd say go after rolston this offseason but they already have enough players that always shoot wide.
Motorcity Devil
I think that the Devils are getting a dose of reality here. Chico was saying how the Devil's coaching staff has tried everything to break the drought, but I say you can't perfume a pig. this is the Devil's offense we should have expected all year. just be glad they are only making us sit through like 2 or 3 weeks of it. I hope we can find some goal scoring in the playoffs.

MadDog2020
I hope Eric Furlatt's car gets lost in the ghetto on the way to the airport and he stops and asks directions directly in front of an abondoned crack house.

Triumph
You have to give Pittsburgh credit - they played an excellent defensive game. I don't know how they managed to get Darryl Sydor from 2000 and Sergei Gonchar from 2003 who could actually play defense, but they did it. New Jersey's just not getting the breaks right now. As I've said a billion times, their defense doesn't transition the puck quickly enough to spring guys on offense, so it's going to be grind-it-out type of goals by and large, or power play goals. They played a tremendous defensive game, which will surely be overlooked - Brodeur really didn't have much work all night.

Triumph
Pittsburgh played the exact same game we did against the Rangers the other night. The difference is that our one mistake ended up in the back of the net. Pittsburgh's mistakes did not. It really is as simple as that. DEVILS>Rangers
is this the 9th or 10th time we got shutout i lost track and that should NEVER happen
LucifersDog
Devils won when it was easy but as usual lately when the pressure come on during the final games of the regular season and during the first two rounds the Devils fail because of LOU. It's time to fire LOU.
DEVILS>Rangers
if the rags win, then when we play them Thursday they can move ahead of us FVCk that better not happen, i hope they have a solution to this
