Just getting in from another disaster of a game. This Devils team did not want to win or win the division. Pretty much it is all about over because the Devils cannot score and they cannot beat anyone in the division right now. So far they are 0-3-1 vs. the division in this 9-game division games to end the season. The Devils are 10-13-4 vs. the division now this season. How the fvck can you win the division when you cannot beat anyone in the division? Tonight the division was handed over to Pittsburgh. The Devils just look like a team that has ran out of gas already and Brodeur is the only one holding this team together right now. All the more he deserves the Hart trophy. This is the first time I believe the Devils have lost 4-games in a row all season and it is coming at the wrong time. I feel bad for Brodeur. There is some major dead weight on this team out on that ice. Brylin, Asham and Clarkson are all dead weight out there and these guys are just standing around on the ice not doing anything. How many fvcking times does Sutter have to change up these lines? It is hurting this team and they have NO chemistry now by Sutter doing this. There is 6-games to go in the season and Sutter is still changing up the lines. Not good if you ask me and this team could free-fall right out of the playoffs if they do not win a division game. Getting SO for the 10th time is just uncalled for. Just felt like a waste of time tonight going to the Rock and watching this horrible display of hockey this Devils team has been showing especially on the biggest game of the season. Division is now over for the Devils and maybe this team can pull out a win to make the playoffs. Just very upset and pissed of at this team as they are the ones who are CHOKING the season away. It will be out of the NYR and Pittsburgh for the division now the way it looks coming up this weekend. Devils blew the division IMO tonight and it would take a lot for them to get it back.

FVCK! :argh::rant:

I'm fine with the slump coming now, as opposed to the playoffs. I'd make these the lines:

Parise-Elias-Langenbrunner

Zubrus-Zajac-Clarkson

Pandolfo-Madden-Gionta

Rupp-Pelley-Asham

Oduya-Martin

Mottau-White

Vishnevski-Rachunek

and go from there. I know Sutter won't ever scratch Brylin but I don't see that many positives in his play these days.

Sat up in the corners tonight, I think I might have saw Crasher hanging around...too lazy to say hi though, it was in Santa's section. That guy is great. But anyway...not going to say anything different than what's been said...but this

It's sad when you get to the game and the box office says the cheapest seat is $95 for mezzanie, and you see families having to go home after making their way there because to sit in overvalued seats...that's about what makes me sad, more than no scoring.,

Btw I'm just messing with you. Yeah, it's very frustrating watching the team struggle right now but they really weren't that bad tonight. I caught the end of the post game show and Daneyko mentioned how he has seen the Devils play much worse then tonight during the season and wound up winning games. He specifically mentioned that Washington game that Brodeur stood on his head. It's the way the sport goes sometimes.

I have no bitch about the effort tonight although it would have been nice if they'd tried to score on that power play at the end of the first period. The guy from Score-O would have at least had a chance of putting one in the net from where the Devils were skating on the other side of the ice :P

But if anything it makes it more discouraging in a way, that you really can't point to effort as a reason the Devils are 0 for 10 in their ten biggest games of the year - the two losses to the Pens with the division lead on the line, the two losses to Montreal with the conference lead on the line, and the six losses to the Rangers which are always big games no matter where the teams are in the standings, more so when both are playoff teams. And that's not even counting the loss to Anaheim in Nieds' return or the loss in the home opener.

So we couldn't even say that Jiri Bicek stinks or anything like that?

Devils played well tonight. They're having a bad stretch right now but it's part of the ups and downs of the season. Just have to roll with it until it's over and that can happen any game.

I'm with you on that one. That first power play was pretty difficult to watch.

As for the big games, I'm trying to take a different approach with that these days. I agree that some games for whatever different reason might have more significance then others but in the end they are all 2 points just the same. My thing is that you can go crazy with this stuff stressing out over the games and then it's not fun anymore and the games become very stressful. It's what I have been doing the last week and it's fvcking draining. I mean look at some of the post on this board. It's nice to see the support and all but I would bet that a few of us are probably suffering from high blood pressure to say the least. Until the boys are in a must win game to make the playoffs or they are down 3 games to whatever, just gotta roll with the punches. These losses are discouraging for sure but who knows what can happen. Maybe we'll even see a goal one of these days.

Now only if the Devils could score a goal for every time you said division. Then we'd be in business. :koolaid:

As for the division, it's not completely out of sight but now Pitt has 2 tie breakers over the Devils. We'll see what happens I guess.

I'm glad for one thing now though...

I will NEVER give up a goal in my own roller/floor hockey games... EVER... EVER again....

you know why??

I learned something, thanks to Mr. Fraser tonight....

I learned I can never give up a goal.....

if I do I simply need to turn around... wave my arms... disallow it... it's not a goal... I was not able to make a save...

thereby all goals for now and ever will be permanently disallowed

I find this to be the greatest news ever :)

I AM INVINCIBLE!!!!!!!

the devils season is just experiencing a correction.

no way is this team #1 in the east...they'll probably wind up a 4 or 5 seed...

which is fine by me, getting the top seed is usually the kiss of death in the play offs anyhow.

oh yeah that disallowed goal was BS...but the way things have been going the last 4 games, that's just par for the course.
