Awesome first period for the Devils! They were pumped up, hitting, being aggressive offensively, solid defensively. They need to keep that up to beat the Rangers in the playoffs. They can't stop now. The first power play they moved the puck really well, the second wasn't that good.

Lets Go Devils!

WOW!!!! Aside from a couple breakdowns on D that was one of the best periods of hockey the Devils have played in some time. So this is what an offense looks like? They actually didn't even score on their better chances which is not really a bad thing at all because it means that they are finally getting some bounces and they're still creating opportunities.

Gotta hit em hard and play up tempo. The Rangers couldn't handle the strong forecheck, at least for that period.

We have been incredibly sloppy in the neutral zone this period. All of those turnovers are causing this change in momentum, because it leads to numerous odd man rushes for the Rags and none for the Devils.

We might be seeing the Devils set a record for offside calls in one game here today.
