ok so they win a stinkin shootout, big deal. It was an exhibition after regulation ended. We still haven't beaten them in a real game and they have a few 4 on 4 and sh!tout victories over us as well.

They had a 1st period for the ages where they beat the Rangers up and generated scoring chances. The 2nd period was forgettable. Devils fall back into a shell as the Rangers slowly take back momentum. This lasted up until midway in the 3rd when they started to come out of it and made Lundqvist work again. Those shots by Parise looked like they were going wide anyway, but Rosen and Micheletti (when did he become such a homer?) still had multiple orgasms over his meaningless saves. Still through all of the 2nd and much of the 3rd they didn't generate much offensively and that's a big problem.

Woo!

The home ice advantage is what matters, after the 3rd period I didn't find the game all that exciting, but I guess it's good to finally win against the Rangers, it sure should boost Marty's and team's morale. And I'd be upset if we lost.

Bring on the playoffs.

By the way, how the hell did the Rangers win the prestigious Metro ice challenge when they were tied with the Islanders in points (23) and had 1 fewer win than them (11 vs. 10)?

60 minutes is a myth. It assumes that the Devs can get the better of play for a whole game. That's not going to happen against a team that, frankly, we're not better than. These teams are as even as can be. The Devs did sit back for way too long in this game though.

Ha, like 4 or 5 Ranger fans escorted out near me.

So...we finally won. No matter how dirty, no matter how ugly, we did it, and that felt great.

By the way, if anyone saw me, I was the guy with the "18-0 Didn't Matter Either" sign.
