Devil Dan 56
So... if I eat pudding.... we... win?? pudding = happiness. winning = happiness. So, using the transitive theory, pudding = winning. This BY FAR the greatest thread in the history of all of man kind ever. I need to go buy pudding.

This BY FAR the greatest thread in the history of all of man kind ever. I need to go buy pudding. This is a bit tricky, but I'll give it a shot. If you eat pudding and the Devils win, you win...twice. If you eat pudding and the Devils lose, you win...once...because you still got to eat pudding. Basically, you just can't go wrong with pudding. If there's a more accurate statement than that in the history of everything, well...you better show me.
CupChamps3X
aside from Dallas in 2000 and Ottawa in 2003, just hasn't been that tremendous. And Philadelphia in 2000. And Pittsburgh in 2001. And Colorado 2001. And about 10 other series.

BlizzardCyclone
I agree with the OP. This will certainly guarantee a win for game 2, so dont worry about this. We win games 2 and 3 and if we lose 4, thats fine, well just win 5 and 6 or 5 and 7. Marty made a mistake which probably caused the game, and made the team lose its momentum but its ONE GAME. You didnt expect us to sweep them again after losing 7 times this season? Lundqvist is scared. If he played anymore deeper than he does, hed be inside the net. His weakness is the top part of the net, and who cares how big his pads are, if we can beat him high, hes finished. We just cant keep hitting posts. We need to execute the scoring chances given to us and put these fags away, once and for all.
SatansDevils
We all love Marty, and know he's our backbone, so there's no argument there. However, if we go down 2-0 to the Rags, do you guys think a Kevin Weekes start could help turn the tide in the series? Just shooting out ideas.... NO. Not a chance in hell. There will be other line up changes perhaps.
metallidevils
I'm not bailing on Brodeur - but his record in the clutch, aside from Dallas in 2000 and Ottawa in 2003, just hasn't been that tremendous. Here's yet another chance to prove himself. You have selective memory. You're going to remember the embarrassing goal against Anaheim in 03, vs the three shutouts? He was absolutely outstanding in all three cup runs.
Triumph
You have selective memory. You're going to remember the embarrassing goal against Anaheim in 03, vs the three shutouts? He was absolutely outstanding in all three cup runs. Brodeur was very good in that series, but he was not great. 3 shutouts, sure - but did Anaheim have any good chances in Game 7? They had a pretty punchless offense and New Jersey shut them down. I'm talking about series where Brodeur was the clear difference - 2000 in Philadelphia was partly his own making, though he did play lights out in Games 6 and 7 (especially 6). 2003 Ottawa is the best I've ever seen him play in a playoff series. The Rangers tried that in '06, didn't work out too well Besides, CRASHER would have a better chance in net than Weekes at this point. He's played what, 20 minutes in the last three months?
