3CUPSN9
I bid one hundred on it to see if he might have had a low reserve, but no luck. I bet its around 400-500. If clean Elias' are going for $450 then a clean Madden should go for much less in my opinion.

UNLESS you already have a photomatch for a sweater, dont' buy it. Although I stopped posting on the game worn wear thread, I did see several good sweaters with potential matches. I know the Parise Set 2 Red (well... one of them since he is wearing multiple sweaters) has a tremendous repair that would be a good pick-up. Mentioned it to a few of you and thought I'd throw it out there. I suspect you could get a deal on the price since he (Parise) isn't wearing a lone sweater in a set. I think there will be some good items coming available in the coming months as summer approaches. FYI. I heard some rumors and hope they are true. Can't elaborate yet. I've once again reorganized my collecting desires and will post my new focuses on here and Gameworn.net. Jason Arnott items are leaving my collection. If you want anything now is the time to say something.

DevilinLA
Paul,Since you're new, one thing that should be mentioned that with the events of this evening on gw.net should be brought up after Scott Himowitz aka Laser110 decieded to start a little drama. Be careful on that forum. Anyone here will tell you how rough and tumble it is. It's a mob mentality full of those eage rto attack. You've got too many adolescents, backstabbers, and two faced people who enjoy being nice to you to your face, talking sh!t about you, and pull high school two face behavior behind your back over the comfort of a computer. However, these fine people never do it in person or ever want to talk to you like a man. Trust me, when you show the slightest bit of thought, intellignece, individuality or go agaisnt the traffic, the torches come out. So many great collectors and collections are gone forever due to the behavior of those who run the asylum. You can thank S&K who turned it into a business when they bought it. Actually, i am more serious then ever about selling everything off and being done with this hobby. Right now, i want out. It's no fun anymore and it hasn't been for me since Draft Day and it's been building up. You just can't collect with that amount of arrogance, immaturity and overall behavior. This is the worst hobby in terms of collector relations and i dealt in baseball cards for 10+ years. with not one problem. I really advise anyone that wants to collect to avoid that forum. BTW....i'm friends with all you guys that post here. It wouldn't hurt to have some of you stick up for me at times when it's needed on that forum. Not all the time, but sometimes. It would be appreciated. I'm ranting, i know...... I would if I were a member. But based on your experiences and advice, I decided it would be wiser to just lurk there to gain knowledge but not interact.

slimegoat
LA, thank you, i appreciate the thought. You were one of the first to welcome me here when i joined to talk game worns and jerseys before this topic grew around here and that's something i'll never forget. In all honesty, what bothers me is the personal insults and adolescent behavior in general, epsecially those who have met me, acted all nice and friendly and share the same Expo room and collectors dinner table, then two face and stab you like a high schooler over the forum, but won't be a man and take it offline to your face. It's a disgrace. I'm going to sit down with my wife and discuss selling it all off with the excpetion of a few select items, Probably a vast majority of equipment and lower end-mid range jerseys will be gone. As much as i love it, it was bound to finally drive me away like the countless collectors prior. We've lost some great jerseys and vast knowledge. I've come to the conclusion that his hobby is not worth the effort and was one i just do not have the personality and tolerance to deal with anymore. It's going to wind up putting me in jail if i don't get out of it. gamewornjerseys.com used to be a good alternative when it was new, but now, it is mostly double postings of what you find on gameworn.net. There are still a few unique posters there, though. Now isn't really the ideal time to be selling stuff off, unless it's high-end. If you're serious though, you should put your stuff out there before people start thinking about the Summer Sale.
section227
unknown poster thanks for the advice. I've taken to lurking on the forum and monitoring the sales, but reading little else. In truth, everyone I want to speak with is over here so little point in posting anywhere else. As for your thoughts on the hobby, refocusing the collection, particularly in these times, is certainly a good idea. I'm hopeful, however, that you'll continue to hang around. Your knowledge and experience would be impossible to replace. Looks like the Madden has come down in price. Now watch it sell for $500 anyway. And - gasp - is that a Driver for sale! You have a great collection and just because there may be people who like to instigate things and stir up trouble doesn't mean you should feel compelled to leave the hobby. If it's really bothering you, just keep what you have and take some time off from viewing or posting on the gameworn.net forum. You can still enjoy the jerseys and equipment you already have, even if you decide to step back from pursuing further items. With that being said, if you do decide to sell anything, you know how badly I want a Devils helmet! Jordan

Souray44
Kinda off topic, but I must say that reading this post from the beginning is very inspiring. Everybody's knowledge and passion for not only collecting jerseys but the Devils in general is awesome and makes me proud to be a new member to this board. I have been a Devils ticket holder for over 20 years, and have just started to finally post on this board after years of reading it. I am looking forward to talking Devils and game-worn jerseys. I hope to collect a few more (Souray Devils, Oduya) and I look forward to learning from you guys. Thanks and keep it all up!

Also, to just enjoy being part of something that takes our minds of the issues we face in life, even for a little bit and not let the trolls harsh anything.Paul, you are 100% correct. This is home. Chorske17
Ken, Sorry to hear you've been unhappy with the hobby. It is ashame that the few ruin it for the many. It has always been that way in just about anything in life and I do not think it will ever change. As far as sticking up for you... I have (or at least I think so) and posted in the thread about Marty's 552nd in your defense. But, really I don't think some of these guys deserve a response from you, any of us or myself. They purposely "egg you on" or others because they know they will get a reaction. The best advise to when they say something is not to respond. Without a response the fire cannot burn. Or even better yet, don't post unless it is sharing information, asking for information, or asking to buy/sell something. Other than that, it just really isn't worth posting. Chatting on here is NO drama and I'll probably post more on here in a week than I will over there in a month. Again, it isn't worth my time when there are so many other things to do/see. We all exchange information and behave civil. I cannot say that at either forum site. Stay positive and chat on here. MINIMALLY Post over there and if someone has something negative to say, just don't respond or get involved. I know it is easier said then done, but really is responding going to solve the problem or will they just come back with "more"? Call me when you get time. I'm on vacation and am already tired of taking down drywall and cleaning. UGH!

Chorske17
The one on eBay? It's fake. I've had talks with the seller dating back to 2005. Obviously a few people are chasing it, though. Too bad for them. Ben, I really enjoy when you bring information to our (Devils Collectors) attention. You surely have a lot information and are kind enough to share it with us all. I think we all appreciate it and the fact that you know of 4 Driver CC specials is great to know (although sad to see you do not have one). I am disappointed, however; that you could respond to this, but not to my PM to you. I think it is no suprise that I am still interested in the Chorske gloves you have and that we have been PM'ing each other back and forth. If you do not wish to sell them I am okay with that and will immediately stop contacting you for them. However, as of last we spoke you said, "could the 1994-95 Sykora be possibly involved in the deal?" I agreed the Sykora could possibly be involved, but I certainly did not want to trade my game worn for one pair of gloves so you asked, "what else are you interested in?" I replied with a list of sticks, gloves, and skates that I was interested in (although I did not expect all of them to be in the transaction) and then said "make me an offer" amongst what I submitted. To date I have yet to hear from you via the PMs, email, or my phone number which I have given to you. I find it odd that you commented on the Driver sweater on EBAY both here and on GameWorn.net, but did not send me an email concerning the trade. Again if you are no longer interested, please just inform me. I believe this is what myself and at least one other collector has commented about on here: the communication break-down. I am not trying to be jerk by typing this on here, however; I don't know how else to get your attention. Again, I think you have a lot to offer as a good guy in the hobby, I just don't know why I did not get a response, but this thread and GameWorn both recieved one. Please let me know either way on here and not PM.

You have already stated that you are going to stay in the hobby, which is awesome for all of us. If I may, I would like to share a piece of advice that my uncle shared with me............."Fvck 'em all". I know, I know, it is not exactly Shakespeare!!!!!!! However, it rings true of inner-peace. If people don't like you/what you say/what you do, etc., fvck 'em. I stay away from those people. I am a BRUTALLY honest person. Period. Everyone knows where I stand on topics that are relevant to me. I mince no words. Unfortunately, not many are like this. They would rather smile to your face, pat you on your ass, and wish you a great day, and then go talk sh!t about you. These degenerates are the people I avoid. I live by the old adage, "Fvck me once, shame on you. Fvck me twice, shame on me." I do not give people the chance to stick it to me twice. Once is enough.....forever. No exceptions. Moral of the ranting........Don't EVER let some dumbass, POS, computer bully take away your passion. I have completely stayed away from BOTH game worn forums for that reason. The Blupitbull site (atleast it seems like that he owns it) has gone down the preverbial crapper, as well. I find both of those boards void of intelligence, values, ethics, morals, consideration, common sense.........................ETC. Hang on to what is good and right, and, as Uncle Carrol says, "Fvck 'em all!". Stay with this group. As a whole, it is a good core of collectors, with few egos. By the way, just added a Sharks helmet to the "chase". 7 down........23 to go. Mike Martin KC Devil Edited March 25, 2009 by KC Devil
