I did bid on the Elias which was stupid because then I remembered Paul had voiced his desire to own it. So I didn't bid any higher than $505.00. I was overtaken by him (?) and then the unknown person I shall nickname the "Ghost Devil". I have no idea who this person is... Could be anyone. Maybe Dave Hall even! Bob West had 4 or 5 of them, as well as the red SCF, so that doesn't leave many others that could be out there. The white SCF is owned by another collector. It's a shame the Devils got rid of Friesen. He had really settled in nicely with us, and I remember reading he was devastated at being traded (he had just bought a house in NJ). He was never the same with other teams after the trade. If it weren't for losing Niedermayer and having to resort to offering McGillis and Malakhov those outrageous contracts (and Mogilny's contract), we never would have needed to trade Friesen for the cap room and I think he could've been productive for a few more years to come with the Devils. After failing to stick with Washington, Anaheim, Calgary, and Lake Erie/Colorado in the years after NJ, I was really happy to see he was in the Sharks training camp this year, but he unfortunately didn't make the team. I was looking on MeiGray like you told me to. I nearly fell off the chair when I saw the prices. Eh, I'm new to this whole thing..... but I saw the 07-08 PreSeason #48 Clarkson for $495 that's I'd still take regardless. I need to get a better job or just stick with sticks. I tried matching it, but just not enough wear tp find anything.Yeah, this hobby can bring that reaction out of people lol. What is it with goons ending up with #48 during preseason?
