DevilinLA
By the way guys, I've been having this debate with a fellow gamer. I know some here like the closet thing, some display, just collecting opinions. Anyone like any of the Jersey display cases that are commercially made these days? I know width can sometimes be an issue....

Anyone like any of the Jersey display cases that are commercially made these days? I know width can sometimes be an issue.... I go with the closet. I dont really have any room to display them anywhere at the moment. Here is what my closet looks like inside and out. I rotate the two on the outside depending on how the team is doing. I had Holik and Brylin outside up until recently. I had to switch back to Elias and Martin because that's who was outside when they were winning most of the year! KC Devil
I do not know of the commercial jersey display cases, as I had lockers built. Then, I purchased some display gridwall and accessories, and it looks something like this. JWomp
Jordan, that is a Guerin and currently the ONLY Devils one I've ever seen. Would like to own it, but $$$ WOW!!!When I said "Parise" and "Guerin" I meant about saving up the that amount in monetary funds... Sorry I didn't mean to suggest I was going to take the Guerin... I'd love to own one too, but that means someone else from the collection gotta' go to make room for him. Friesen would be awesome to have too. Too many that I want to own and not enough $ to buy them... so I gotta' choose just like you and the fabled Gionta. Stinks, but at least we get something we like. Well, now you can say you've seen 2! http://www.dropthepucks.com/sotg/Newjersey...J%20hm%20Guerin The one at MeiGray does NOT have an asterisk to denote it's on consignment, so maybe they would cut you a deal. Souray44
Those are some beautiful displays! Mine are just in a closet in the Den. I have to move them to my Devils basement but I bought a clothing rack at Bed Bath and Beyond and it snapped in half! So anybody preorder Set 2's or Playoffs yet? Any new want lists? Rufener
I've seen quite a few Guerin's. Most had great wear. There are CC Special Guerin's out there, too. A legit preseason sold on eBay a few years ago for less than $500.
Random Poster
Mine are displayed in numerous Meigray boxes LOL Two cats and dust are the enemies in my house. Maybe one day i'll get around to turn my family room into a hockey room when i have time of from work, which is wishful thinking.
cupcake23
So Matt told me to put this here. Maybe one of you guys know for sure. As you know I'm looking at that Clarkson PreSeason #48 on MeiGray. This is one of my all time favorite pictures of him as well, which just so happens to be with the #48 jersey. Anyone know if it's the same one? I know this isn't the best sized picture, but I don't know if its on Getty or not. Photo is from a fight with Bruins forward Jeremy Reich in the second period of a preseason game on Thursday Sept. 20, 2007. According to population report, Clarkson only wore one preseason white. JWomp
As you know I'm looking at that Clarkson PreSeason #48 on MeiGray. Cupcake, I don't know if you have your heart set on this particular #48 jersey, or if you just want it because it's the cheapest Clarkson available, but you MIGHT be able to get his 07-08 white set 2 ( http://www.meigray.com/edealinv/servlet/Ex...2&scId=4542 ) for cheaper. Last year, the summer sale offered 10% off of pre-season jerseys and 40% off of regular season jerseys. The complete terms of the sale are here: http://www.nhlgameworn.com/edealinv/servle...mp;catParentID= Anyway, IF this years sale is comparable to last years (10% off preseason, 40% off regular season), your costs would be: $495 @ 10% off = $445.50 $695 @ 40% off = $417.00 Plus, if they do buy one get one free like last year (which I have a feeling they might, but others don't seem to think they will again), I'm sure one of us would be more than happy to buy a Clarkson for you along with a jersey that we want so you could get 50% savings and only need to pay $347.50 if you went for the white set 2. Just something to think about! Jordan Edited April 19, 2009 by JWomp

JWomp
That right there is when their pricing tiers and sale percentages look wacky. When someone can buy a regular season for less then a pre-season. Problem is, accoridng to them, they won't 50% off the pre's/GI's anymore because they are losing $. I guess it took like 3 years worth of sales to discover that? Yeah, I don't understand this either. It doesn't make any sense that you could buy a $495 regular season jersey, for example, Brylin or Pandolfo, for 40-50% off but not a pre-season jersey priced at the same level. I would understand it if they didn't want to give 40-50% off of a $100-$200 preseason jersey, but it's not like they even price them that low. What happened to the days where you could get a jersey for $99 during one of their sales? Jamie, This is correct. I had forgotten about their tiered sale structure. I have yet to find anyone to go in with and/or anything I had to have. Matt There's nothing I HAVE to have, but if they do offer 50% off or buy one get one, I might want to pick up a $495 jersey for $247.50 (Brylin, Pando, Zubrus?) It is what keeps me interested. I'll never have a Brodeur (at least I don't think so), but it is okay to dream I will. If you ever acquire a Lowell Marshall let me know. MeiGray has one, but it has the "A" removed (Boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and they still want $450 ish for it.

He originally listed it for $275 ( http://www.gameworn.net/cgi-bin/GW/ultimat...ic;f=7;t=017323 ), it didn't sell, and then when he posted it on gamewornauctions, I planned on bidding but it went for almost $500! I wish one of us had grabbed it the first time around. Paul, I would love a Trenton Devils jersey too. It's one of the top things on my want list, but I don't know what player I should get. Frazee would be ideal, but MeiGray has those at $595!!

It does not matter the cost, percentages are constant over amounts and time. For instance.....it is the same for them to sell a $1000.00 jersey at 40% off ($600), or sell (10) $100 jerseys at 40% off (10 x $60 = $600). Therefore, a percentage discount staggered by amount of jersey would be ludicrous. Mike Martin KC Devil

Random Poster
To expand on a little of what Jordan said, i can't blame them for not wanting to give the $250 GI's or preseasons away at 50% off, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to put an asterisk that all GI's and pre's under $250 or $275 are only 10% off.
